The Wayside Center in Elgin is a day center for under resourced and homeless neighbors that provides a place to rest, Free breakfast and lunch, showers, laundry and other supportive services. Guest are referred to local resources for emergency shelter or Wayside's long-term transitional housing and recovery facilities at our main campus in Aurora. Currently, we also provide accommodations at the facility for Graduate Residents who help manage the Wayside Center during normal business hours.
I'm not sure what time they close but they open at 9 a.m. and I know that they are open past noon
