It was an amazing experience. The Village was so accommodating and made such an impactful memory for our family. The staff and volunteers were so genuine with the way they made our family feel special. We will definitely return as an alumni family and volunteer!

We stayed here a few years ago as a part of a wish for my son. We recently returned for a day's visit. It's such an amazing place with selfless volunteers. We love and appreciate everything and everyone.

Great place, great people! They really do a great job making a Wish child/family feel special. I highly recommend supporting them in any way you can!

My family and I had the best time at Give Kids the World Night of a Million Lights. The opportunity to see the village should not be passed by. The kids even loved the bus ride from the parking area which is easy to navigate. See Santa, ride the tram, lots of snacks and the younger kids really enjoyed the playground. We can't wait to go again. Tickets are easy to purchase online. If you are here on vacation, it is worth the visit. If you are local go again and again!!

Yes! You are able to go back to spend the day there once a year
Alumni families can visit up to 4 times a year now. One free meal is provided and added meal vouchers can be purchased in the gift shop. All events and activities are included when you go. Call ahead and they'll schedule you. Upon arrival, you'll check in at the guard station then at reception. We've been able to enjoy alumni visits 2 times since our wish, though our daughter is no longer with us. It's nice to go visit a place that holds memories only about happiness and joy.
Yessir!!!!!
Yes they love to see people returning whether to visit or volunteer. Great people to work with and a wonderful cause.
Couldn't think of a better place and the recipients would be very greatful.
Do you mean can you volunteer for Community Service here? Yes, but there are certain requirements. Go to their website to sign up to become a Volunteer.
Apply with make a wish foundation. Then enjoy your visit pretty much where ever you go. My daughter chose give the kids the world, and it was priceless for all of us. A family of 5. I'm 48 years old, been around the world 2 times. This was my absolute best time of my life. My daughter also loved it.
I loved it ❤️
Give them a call to find out how they accept donations... almost anyone will take a ticket to something for free, make sure you're donating correctly
Yes you can. My 6 year old girl went and she has type 1.
Just left less than a month your check is non-negotiable but if you become an alumni you will get 4 days a year but no extension no exceptions.
I have this storybook about the wish kid who got passed away and the movie.
The entire community is gated, traffic is limited and there are staff doing their tasks running around in golf carts. So, the area is safe to walk, while the staff aren't supervising they can respond to emergencies or let you do whatever you enjoy doing. The roads are level and in good shape. So, the community itself is a fairly comfortable place to get some exercise.
It took us 25 min. There wasn't much traffic till we got by the park.
It is for special needs children and their families who live with terminal illnesses.
Food, beverages, snacks, and desserts are free for families staying at Give Kids The World. Volunteers get a free meal and/or snacks if they are volunteering during a meal.
I'm sorry I do not, but reach out to Give Kids the World I am sure they will help you out. My daughter and family just went.
Call Give Kids the World and ask for volunteer services or you could go online and fill out the form there
It's for Make A Wish kids and their families only
Yes, but call to verify and there is usually a third-party referral program
It's over and that's for children who are terminally I'll it's from make a wish foundation
Only immediate family
No, it was a special for Christmas walk through. With everything lit up with colorful lights.
Yes, Go to www.gktw.org/lights for Info and Tickets for the Night of a Million Lights event.
As of now with the pandemic regulations in effect, its just the immediate family for welcome back tours. But the village is having a light show during the time you will be down. There is a ticket price to come into the village during the light show, but no restrictions on how big your party is. Please call the village, they will be more than happy to answer.any other questions.
Yes contact Give kids the world for information. Make a wish can help but make a wish rules change by state was my experience great place my son left a 🌟 there.THANK YOU. Give kids the world can wait to volunteer there soon
It's my understanding you can always come back to visit for the day, once you've been invited you are a lifetime alumni. 😀
Yeas, there is a washer and dryer in each Villa and they do provide some laundry detergent.
Have a great time! Agreed, eveything is supplied for you, they will even deliver something to your door if you ask.
You will need to contact the organization but generally Children and Families are referred by a nonprofit organization. Ours was Make-A-Wish. Most children have critical illnesses or terminal illnesses to be able to visit here. It is worth looking into if your child has a wish to visit to Florida or Disney World.
So sorry for your loss, yes you can visit his star. Contact the village in advance for details.
Yes they will have alot of Stuff 4 u n your family
The villas have extra pop up beds along with a couch that pulls out into a full size bed
Yes they're is
You would be better off calling GKTW directly to ask this question rather than asking The Internet, which is what you have essentially done.
Give kids the world is a non profit organization that grants childrens variety of wishes through there resort in kissimmee fl, it is where we donate our time and services to help create the experience!!! You must call them for more info
Not at give kids the world but they could direct you to where you could
Yes....you can have guests visit, but they're not allowed to stay with you. Visiting hours are over at 10pm I believe and visitors must sign in at front office.
I have an autistic son so that's why I'm looking for places for special needs kids
There os no cost to the family. Only families of a child with a life threatening illness stay. Families from all over the world, the most amazing people volunteer there. Unforgettable experience.
Which pass is it? Disney Universal pass or the village pass? Park passes are only for the visit and village pass expires in one year.
He would only be eligible thru a wish foundation. Depending on the organization you can recommend your child for a wish. If he Is approved And he decides that his wishes in that area then they would handle the arrangements.
Stellar the star fairy.
Far as I know just contact now they're always looking for volunteers I was told
However many the organization that is granting the wish allows
You can only go here as a part of a make a wish trip In which case, everything is free
Go onto their website and you have to apply online and get a back ground check
Please contact make a wish or sign up online with them
You have to have gone through a wish granting agency to be able and visit .. if you havent done this before they wont let you visit. If you have and are what they call a welcome back family there will be no problem visiting
Give kids the World is not a Hotel. The Village and all it offers are for families with seriously I'll children. It is a week where doctors, needles, hospitals and being I'll, can be forgotten for a bit. No stress for the families! Mom doesn't cook, unless she really wants to. Families have small duplex style rooms. Dad can not say no to the little ones having ice cream. All day, even for breakfast! The experience can not save a child. But it gives families a bit of time to build memories that will last forever.
Yes and Good Luck
You'd have to ask your doctor. A family member has twins with autism and they went on a wish trip. Not to give kids the world though.
You shouldnt need or want for anything while you are there. But yes there are stores near by.
In that place you do not have to pay anything, but it is for special children, for example if you have an illness and you need to travel, for treatment, you can receive them and they give you an apartment to stay in the same place.
All families get to stay for one week.
Visitor are not allowed. You can request to volunteer if interested.
To my family, they provided a fun and home like experience to us while we were on our son's Make A Wish trip. They provide a huge dose of happiness, comfort, and a great experience for families with children that have life threatening illnesses. They have fun events, tons of things the children can do. Where else can you have Halloween, Christmas, movies, a carousel, and meals all provided for you? They make you feel very welcomed. Our son loved it. We loved it and wish we could go back once a year and stay for a week. It is close to all the parks, so it makes travel easy.
