Nice, well maintained park where campers don't feel like they are on top of each other. Amazing views of Mt Mansfield and the Green Mountains. Pets are welcome.

We camped here for three nights in September 2021. Busy campground with lots of campsites. Some on grass with minimal shade, some in wooded areas with lots of shade. No hookups. Fire ring and picnic tables at each site. As with many VT state park campgrounds, there were also lean-tos and maybe a few cabins to rent too. The campground has numerous paths to beaches, we were just five minutes from one of them. Bath house had only one shower each for men and women and mine was very heavily used as it was the weekend. Staff is friendly and competent - we switched sites and had no problem doing it. Park is close to amenities and several other state parks on Lake Champlain's islands. We enjoyed our stay. Photo is from the beach near our site.

Always enjoy staying at this State Park! Staff are always pleasant and accommodating. Have been visiting this park since 2015, and it never gets old; kids always have a good time. Water is clear, and plenty of spots to swim at access area or not. Would definitely recommend if you have never been.

We have gone to Grand Isle State Park for 7 years. It is such a wonderful place to camp. Staff is attentive, facilities are well kept and always plenty to do!

No Vermont state park has hookups
Yes you can.
Depends on how long you intend to use the kyack. I don't recall exact amount but it was relatively inexpensive. Maybe 15 bucks for 4 hours.
No we do not have electric or water right on the sites. The bathrooms have electricity and coin operated showers. There is a dumping station and you can run a generator from 8-10 am and 4-6pm.
Grand Isle opens May 13th
Yes kayaks and not sure about canoes...no power boats
I am sorry we do not do 1 night reservation. You can make a 1 night if you are arriving under your own power such as walking, boating or biking Or arrive after 2pm on the day and if there is a site available the park will let you book it.
There are definitely some larger sites that would accommodate a camper that size.
Yes, there are multiple handicap leantos!
Check the website or call them!
Don't think they do but Maybe nearby
I camped last year. Did not see any hookups on regular sit es but there are several rustic cabins available. They have one electric outlet and state cooking is outside In US typically state parks allow 2 weeks.
I had a waterfront leanto, I believe Elm. I backed a trailer up next to it. However some lean tos on this section can only accommodate cars parked side by side behind the leanto. It should be mentioned this row us separated from the lake by a steep high ledge but the view is wonderful as well as hearing the lake. Very shaded so solar is not too great. There are lean tos away from water that have lots of parking around them, as well as sun exposure if you have solar panels.
This park had potable water available at restrooms. Best to call or bring a long hose to fill. The potable water near my site was 25 feet from road.
When we were there I didn't notice any. It's a great place to unplug. Cell service worked good though.
The staff start working memorial day weekend u may have to call and reserve but id do it quick its a popular park and all people have been talking about this week
From what I've read and dealt with all sites can be booked 11 months in advance
