We just love the serene wooded trails to the remote beaches! This is our go-to park for the best natural beach experience in the area! We always find shark teeth and see plenty of wildlife at Stump Pass. It's like having our own private beach.
Trinity Melton
Beautiful rustic beach with sand dunes, crystal clear waters, sea shells and shark teeth to find. Absolutely beautiful! It's a $3 fee to enter and we'll worth every dollar.

Absolutely beautiful park. There is an entrance fee and the trails are pet friendly but not the beaches. Very busy place and parking is hard to find but definately worth the visit but definately recommend bug spray as the mosquitos carry you away. But great for walking, swimming or shelling.

Beaches are amazing. Gulf coast sunsets are spectacular. Arrive early to get a spot. Once lot is full, you options are limited. Restrooms are available and there is a nice nature trail that allows you to access both the beach and Lemon Bay. Parking is only $3 per carload..

There is none, venice brohard dog park, 5 star beach dog park by sharkeys
I have seen rvs there a 30 footer should be ok however parking is very limited there, get there early am.
Yes
They don't have an office where you can purchase a pass. I recommend you go to another local state park. Try Ocar Scherer state park in Sarasota, they have an office close to the entrances. If you're a disabled Veteran you get a free lifetime pass.
I personally have never seen a trailer. Most bring kayaks in pickup or on car roof. Parking at Stump pass is at a minimum. All beaches are premium parking. Englewood and Manasota Key have large parking lots
No Camping/No After-Hours passes, indefinitely (work there) Thx!
Dogs are allowed on the trail but not on the beach or in the water on the Intracoastal. Just the trail. We take our dog all the time.
There is 1 available. (work there)
As I recall, they were allowed on the trails but not the beach. However the best part of the park is the beach, so this wouldn't be a great place to take the furry ones.
Too small for an rv
There are no hook ups available, and there is also no overnight parking. No space for a travel trailor either.
No camping....there is a gate that gets locked at the end of hours. Park closes half an hour before sunset.
There is 1 grill available.. If you can get a turn.. The park is one of my favorites.. For adventures
No. But there is a kayak rental place there
No but camping is close by looking but there is camp grounds close by not on Key on Casey Key
Dogs are allowed but not on the beach and must be leashed and well behaved
There will be sharks in proximity of any big body of salt water near Florida. They tend to be more active at Dusk and Dawn so avoid those swimming times. Also remove any shiny jewelry or object you maybe wearing is this can attract sharks. Stay in groups and this helps avoid the shark thinking of you as mistaken prey
Yes dogs are only allowed on the trail but not on the beach. Service dogs on leash can go anywhere with you.
No umbrella rentals for the beach, walking trails off the beach have the shade. Best to bring your own shading if spending any significant time on the beach because cloudless days result in full sun all day...
Get in touch w the Park Mgr concerning
It opens at 8 and fills up pretty quick. We've been lucky twice to get parking, patience helps. There's another beach a few minutes away with more parking. It's beautiful too. You can walk to stump from there if you have time and energy, beach walking...
You can walk your dog on leash on the trail and they have access to the bay side but Not allowed on the beach.
Yes there are several places to set and watch ski alley
Any Florida State Park allows dogs. I'm pretty sure about that
Plenty of shells and sand dollars by the mouth of the channel into the gulf on both sides of the intercostal. We boat there in a regular basis mostly on the other of the state park.
The mouth of the what? In the where? Soooo do I take a left at stump pass beach???
Water is clear if wind is out of the east; water is cloudy if wind is out of the west and moderate waves are breaking on the shore. No tannins or red tide at this time. Hopefully release of water from Lake O will not severely affect this area.
I live in Englewood on the water and have access to a beach club it has been bad fish dead all over, But it is clearing up I have not been to the beach since it first started, today will be my first time since the red tide started I will update all so I say come and enjoy make sure that you have a pool where you stay
No its much better. If your on FB find the BEACH GUY on Englewood Beach. He posts a daily report every morning with video.
We found a ton of sharks teeth and seashells. The shells are all worn by the surf, not "whole" but still some very cool ones. The sharks teeth are tiny and most of them black as they are fossilized!
First, Stump Pass isn't an island. And only you can answer that question anyway. Depending on where in Englewood you start it is approximately 2-3 miles one way to Stump Pass. If you are an experienced user that is easy. If your goal.is to do some kayaking, that is doable. If your goal is to get to Stump Pass you can drive to Stump Pass beach State Park and put your kayak in there. From there it is 1.3 miles to the actual pass.
Check w Gasparilla State Park Administrative Assistant 1st. Parking IS limited, as Pamela Mccarran mentioned. (I work there)
No camping at stump pass
$3 in cash that you put in an envelope and in a mailbox at the entrance.
Hi Donna, the park closes at 6pm I believe, so there is not overnight parking.
Shark tooth beach is the beach just left of the pass to the gulf, loaded with teeth.
