The islands are like no other…..the white sand, beautiful water, and shells you find are amazing!

Nice island for boating! We also had an amazing overnight camping experience - it's possible to do on the north of the island.

Beautiful place! We took a dolphin boat tour that took us over here to collect some awesome shells. It was absolutely beautiful and clean. Great spots for taking photos as well.

Mermaid Slayers Chartering Services LLC, located in Tarpon Springs offers private, custom trips to the island or sand bar!
It's my understanding you can't camp unless you have a boat with you.
There is a sandbar off the north end of Anclote Key that is not considered part of the park where you can let your dog run free.
Another reason is that if you camp there you have to have a boat to leave by and it has to be there the whole time. Just in case of inclement weather and evacuation.
Kayaking is possible just difficult due to distance. If recommend renting a boat through a company or on your own
They do not rent out designated tent sites on the island, me and friends have camped on the North End of the island multiple times without issue however. Just dont be stupid amd respect your surroundings 🤙
I believe you can, if there is a fire ring at your campsite, but you definitely need to check with the ranger
Haha, this is a tiny island, not a campground. Only accessible by boat. You can camp in many if the parks in the Tarpon springs area, then take one of the ferry tour rides or rent a boat and go to the island and go shelling.
Yes it is... You must bring everything you need with you. And I believe you need to register with the park ranger which you can do on their website.
Yes we just did camping there with the kids for 3 days. You got to call the rangers listed on the reserve website. It is amazing
You can not camp at the park. You can get a permit to camp on the Island where the light house is.
No, you do need permission to camp. Check with officers at the park.
The whole eastern shore of anclote is mangroves and not walkable. The island is 4 miles long north to south. The light house is on the south end and you're probably landing on the north which means you'd have to be moving fast in the sand and grass to see it with no time to look around. I'd say just enjoy the north end this time around. It's all very beautiful.
Not really aclose time, you have to get there by boat, beautiful sunset. Sponge docks in tarpon springs has boats every couple hours.
No
Not sure about touring the lighthouse, but Odyssey Tours will bring you there during the tour. You spend about 45 minutes there.
Bellaire Bridge, Clearwater Beach Rec Center or Seminole St. Downtown Clearwater
Yes. Many do so. Depending on weather of course. Have heard then complain that they were too tired to return, but you may be fitter than them! Haha
I was out there today. Lots of flashing lights on 2 SeaTow boats looking after a recent washed up sailboat on the north end of Anclove. I'm sure you're fine! Best wishes!
You can also surge your boat into the sand just watch the tides
I've only heard on Boy Scout troops camping with permission. There are no facilities, running water, anything. Good luck!
