Most ridiculous rental car experience. Wait over an hour in line despite “save time and the counter a scan QR code below to check in now.” Only 3 people working. No other rental agency had lines likely this. People are at the counter for over 15-20 minutes at a time. This is saving time?? Thanks for ruining our plans, Avis. Picking up a car should not take longer than the flight itself.

Run, don’t walk from this rental company. We had a pre paid voucher from my travel agent. After waiting for 2 hours to reach the counter to be helped, the woman behind the counter pulled up our reservation number, but could not put in the right information. After an hour of showing our voucher, license and credit card she still refused to give us a car. She did not offer any alternatives or want to help us in any way!! She refused to speak to our agent. After an hour getting nowhere, we canceled our reservation and walked next door to National Car Rental. Valerie had us in a beautiful car within about 15 minutes! What a total waste of time!!

If I could give minus stars I would. We have been in line for 1 hour and 40 minutes and we are not even close to being served. 1 person working counter. No one telling us how long it will be. There are so many people here I wonder if they will even have our car. Called Customer Service to see if we could cancel and get a car somewhere else. CS they could cancel but they would keep some of the few fro. The car reserved weeks ago. Avis, is it fair to make your customer wait in line so long and offer no information, no help and no compensation. My time is worth something. Im going to write a review every hour until I get out of here Just to make my time worth something.

I randomly rented a car through Avis when I logged onto Costco. Avis had the best price for the SUV I wanted. Everything was smooth and easy. The only disappointment was how stripped-down the car was. Seats weren't automatic, etc but it drove fine. I would urge Avis, in the future, to include a brief visual "quick start" page for each car to help new renters quickly find the most important features. When I needed headlights, for instance, I had no clue how to find them. I normally drive a Ford SUV and was entirely unfamiliar with the Mitsubishi I rented. That would have improved the rental experience and safety. That said, I'll be happy next time if Costco assigns me to Avis. The check-in was exceptionally smooth and easy!!

I think it was approx. 8 dollars and it goves you piece of mind.
When I was at SFO there were severely long queues there, took forever for people to get their rental cars, in the end I went with another company that was also in the same place, better communication and quick service called sixty.
It’s done the escalator and to your right. Really close. Now finding your car can take a few min. If you are preffered it’s right next to it which is 1 floor down from the AirTran platform once inside.
In my experience, not many airport locations allow you to call directly
Pickups but not panel trucks.
Absolutely. It is sometimes easier if you are getting dropped off the pick the car up make sure to download the rental car companies app on your phone. It makes for an easier experience and you can accumulate points and rewards if you sign up for their program.
Yes
con airtrain. es facile follow the signs
San Francisco Inter Airport, 780 N Mc Donnelly Rd, San Francisco, CA 94128, État Unis. You have to take the train from the terminal to the rental car company
Yes but there isnt taxis standing by. Your best bet would be to call a taxi or use uber.
You need to ride the air train to all rental car facilities.
Hey, no idea
You need to ask them directly, this is just a public board, however, I think you have to use a CC and, debit cards do not qualify.
Yes. No issues. Take the BART train.
Yes. 24 he. It's a air train to the rental lot and terminals
Yes
You can ask at the Moment witt people on desk and change features without extra cost ... most of car have SatNav
Yep
I don't think they have such an option
There's a train you can take. It's fairly easy to find, just follow maps and signage (and if that's not enough, just ask airport personnel).
Both, but not HP
Yes, Avis also offers 15 passenger vans, but they have very limited luggage space. You only will need a regular drivers license with an international permit, as well
Yes, but you will need to notify Avis by phone before your original rental ends and you'll have to pay an additional fee.
Yes you have to pay toll.
It's called the airtrain and it took only about 5 minutes from domestic terminal 2.
Fast, receiving team scans the barcode on contract and bill is provided.
You will just need to catch the terminal train to the rental car center, free of charge. Hope this helps.
Go along rental car return sign, second floor, just enter and avis preson will take the car, easy and simple
Follow sing posted directions to car rental returns when you get close to the airport. Its also a location on Google maps you can set directions for.
The address is on this page or Google car rental return San Francisco airport it'll take you to the correct place. To get to the terminal there is a mono rail that runs very frequently from the rental building.
It's pretty easy. There is an air train that takes you straight to the car rental.
