It's a little difficulty to get navigate to the rental building, if you have never been to SFO. The blue line takes you straight to the rental building. The customer service lines were pretty long for all rental agencies. Lucky we are Hertz gold members. Side note: if you are a capital one card holder gold is free. Anyways gold members can almost skip the lines. We were in and out in less than 5 minutes. I do wish that we had more rental options, but we had only decided on rental after a flight was cancelled.

Added on Liability Insurance Supplement without my consent ($500 charge). Have not picked up the phone to talk to me regarding this situation, as being a 5-Star Gold Member, I simply walked in and got in my car and never talked to anyone at this location regarding adding an insurance supplement, nor ever added it myself. Would like to talk to someone at this location regarding this charge and removing it, as the customer service experience has been less than reassuring. Have had no problems renting from this location prior, would just like to get this issue resolved and over with.

San Francisco Airport HERTZ Car Rental - ATROCIOUS service at SFO Airport!! Have reserved & paid-in-full (2 months in-advance) for an intermediate size SUV, HERTZ has no excuse for keeping us waiting for 1.5 hours AFTER waiting in line to “sign-in”. Very little makes customers more dissatisfied that watching person-after-person (who Arrived & Signed-In long AFTER us) get called for “their car” while we continued to wait. On 3 or 4 separate occasions, I returned to the Hertz counter to bring this matter to their attention. While being repeatedly told “You are next; You are # 1”, “other” customers continued to get called for their cars. Hertz did finally “find us” a car; it was NOT an “intermediate size SUV”, rather a HUGE behemoth of a Truck/SUV (larger than most minivans) that is difficult to drive, & it’s huge size is poorly suited for San Francisco. Based on my horrible experience with absolutely atrocious customer service, my opinion is that the last time that “Hertz was # 1” in quality, O.J. was known as a star football player!

I rented car from SFO airport Hertz and the car was not sanitized was really smelly from inside and was dirty all over It was already to late for us to go back to the pickup location and cancel the reservation my wife took the pictures of the car right after when we left the SFO airport.. water stains were all over the cars exterior overall it was a bad experience when I called hertz and reported this incident their customer service was horrible they did not resolve the issue I don't recommend Hertz.

Did you enter the date that way? American dates require the month first, day second, year last.
That totally sucks! They can't even refresh their computers, so I can imagine that. So sorry and hope everything is ok.
I hope these answers helps. Everyone is correct about the the tram. If it's not running, buses will pick you up
Yes but not sure if there is any parking area but there is a drop off area at the front of the building
They have travel limitations, but they're concerned about Mexico, not Canada
Yes, the price will be higher than a local rental
You do not need an international driver's license. Yes, you need to bring your Japanese driver's license. Yes, you need to bring a Japanese driver's license. You do not need an international driving license.
Yes, expect extra charges. I paid for my vehicle upfront via Hotmail. They charged more money at Hertz. The car was dirty and damaged. There was no GPS. I was unable to attach my Android phone because it only attached to iPhone. I will never rent from Hertz again.
Yes, they are service 24/7 here.
You need to call them.
The rental car system will offer the cars models available and you choose. Some times the desired car is not available.
I returned a rental car after hours and everything was processed correctly. I just pulled into the correct terminal, removed all my belongings, took a picture of the full gas meter and the mileage just in case and left the keys it it. I was emailed the final receipt and everything seemed to be correct!
As long as there's one near you, You can return to any Hertz location. It would be considered a one way rental.
No, I've never seen a manual car at Hertz in the US. Turo is your only option
You can try in the airports parking area, but unfortunately, at Hertz, all of their vehicles are in a garage.
The tires are all season. You should be ok in the city area of Denver with them.
No, I couldn't find the airport shuttle early.
There is a place to stand with your car next to the parking area but there is no parking at the rental location. You not able to drive into the Hertz parking lot.
Im sure they would if you asked. However might be only offered on certain vehicle models.
The people that post here are previous customers. Ring the branch direct if you want information like you're requesting.
Yes
Yes. They have many types of car from compact to mini mini vans
Nope...allow plenty of time. Also signs are reslly misleading so know your north from your south. Good luck
Yes check drop off fees which sometimes can be higher than the rental Also check Hertz Local as well as airports sometimes the Local rates are less than airport locations
Does the bus 292 also stop at the pick up site?
Yes it is possible
Update: they didn't ask me for an international at all.
At enormous expense sf at their SFO built an elevated light rail like Disneyland, from the "donut" terminal to the new N.garage, to get rid of diesel buses and well paid bus drivers! They could have gone to just LNG buses. It's like building BART to SF when so much safer and better Caltrain already existed; You can wish BART was world-class all you want, but it is Not. Such a Giant waste of taxpayer money!
I hope you have entered flight details at the time of booking.. They will come to know from them..
No.. With driver will be limousines services
If they hertz in there for sure....
Yes. There are shuttle trains from SFO terminals to rental cars Station... It is a blue line shuttle..
If you want it you have to specifically request it.
If you have reserved prior and are gold class member, the car shd be ready and available on the ground floor parking at the mentioned time
Yes, easiest to use the airport shuttle rail system
You need international license to pass the final gate of hertz
It's in the downstairs of airport arrivals facility
