Mark Shannon was exceptional. We arrived an hour before our reservation and he was still able to accommodate my family. Due to the high rental traffic they were very busy - but he was extremely patient and helpful. This is my second time renting and I will definitely be back because of his amazing customer service!

Everything was smooth with the rental, lady who took care of us when we picked up the car was very nice. My issue at the moment is that shortly after turning in the car I realized an important item was left behind, I couldn’t physically return to the car otherwise I would’ve missed my flight but I quickly called them to report the item. Tried calling over 5 times with no luck, kept going to voicemail. I double checked the lost and found policy online and found that the main course of action was to call the location I rented from directly. After landing back home (a mere 4 1/2 hours post return) I finally was able to get ahold of an agent who stated no one had turned in the item but that luckily it hadn’t been rented out so he would send someone to check it out and get back with me. I heard no update back. Following morning I called back several times, even left a voicemail, until finally mid afternoon they decided to answer the phone again. I spoke with the same agent who said “I would’ve called you if we found anything” and then proceeded to tell me the car had already been rented out to someone else and he would send them a message to turn in the item if they found it. My problem is that how is an item NOT found prior to renting out the car to another customer? Was the car not properly cleaned? It wasn’t located in a hidden spot and even then I specifically stated where I left it when speaking to them PRIOR to the car getting rented out to someone else. So the only reason I would think it “wasn’t turned in” is because the worker who we turned in the car to (or maybe a different one who transported the car) took the item. I am very upset at the delay in response and lack of communication from them. I reached out not even an hour after dropping off car and was not able to get any help and then finally when speaking to someone not even 5hours from drop-off and being told car was not rented out and possibly not been cleaned yet so they’d go check it out - that item was “not there”. I’m sorry but there’s no way it just disappeared and now car has been rented out to another customer - who if they do find item, may never return.

We had a great experience!! I was worried at first because I never heard of ACE. The lovely lady was so very helpful!! The car was newer and super clean. Drop off was smooth also. I will recommend and use them again!!

Seems like ACE agents were rushing to push customer out to other car rental agencies. The agent typed wrong street name on the rental agreement even though he has my driver license on his hand. He automatically added "all inclusive tolling" into the agreement. I told him that I only drive local street and don't need it but he said it is the rule in Florida to charge the toll in advance. He said lot of people got hit with Florida's tollway system. We were in a hurry and didn't want to argue with him. He is just a worker and only obey direct order from his manager and ACE corporation. It is terrible that ACE rent a car charge customer for things customer doesn't need. When check out the vehicle in the lot, the ACE personnel seems to forget that not everyone knows Spanish. She walked around vehicle but didn't notice the dent on the vehicle door until we pointed it to her. We pointed her to the flat tire icon and the oil change icon but she kept saying something we could not understand.

I don't use ACE Rentals at all ... my son did and he did not like. I use National or Avis,Hertz, Enterprise.

I refused the insurance because I had Geico and rentals up to $800 and after being told that I was going to get reimbursed they told me there no. I would not leave until they gave me the imbursement back.

It's somehow good, although a rent of $90 dollars became in$ 247 a lot fees and charges, even that they are outside the airport area they charge outrages fees for picking you up from the airport. Even that they charge a lot, they still better tan Fox and and economy rental car. They are the BIGGEST THIEF

Yes there is, but like other reviews mentioned, carve out extra time to get back and forth to the airport.

Remember that they will place a hold on a large portion of funds in your account that you will NOT have access to until a few days after the car is returned and the hold is released. This is standard practice for rental companies that accept debit cards as form of payment, but not everyone remembers that the funds on hold are not accessible until a few days AFTER the car has been returned. Keep this in mind if you're renting the car for vacation, because the money on hold will not be available to you.
The question itself was regarding a pre-paid card. No a pre-paid card cannot be used, a debit card is accepted as long as it is not a pre-paid debit card. Ace does accept bank issued debit checking account cards, (Bank of America, Chase, Wells Fargo, ect.) there is a deposit requirement as there are with several companies whether it is a debit or major credit card. Hope that clarifies and answers the question.

Stay away from rental car company...they took advantage of me with their fine print...DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! It is not worth the risk!
