We loved the experience of picking out our 2 newest family members here. The people that I saw working there definitely seemed like true animal lovers. The gentleman who showed us the cats even followed my spouse’s and my silent conversation over our kids heads about how many cats would be coming home with us (we went in expecting to JUST MEET 1 cat) Our kittens Frodo and Sam have settled in nicely as our first family pets. And even though we’ve just had them for slightly over 2 weeks we can’t imagine our household without them.

I had a wonderful experience!! Navigating the website and making an appointment was so easy. They went over important information about the cat I was adopting and sent me home with so many essentials. You can tell that the animals at the shelter are loved and cared for so well.

I adopted Murky (originally Quinn) last year in late October. She's a petite, wild little lady and I'm so lucky to have her :) Her fur was thin and coarse in some spots when I adopted her, so I'm happy to report her fur has thickened and softened up. She also gained a pound, haha. Thank you so much for the opportunity to give her a home!! <3

I'm so thankful that I adopted my cat from the Animal Welfare League! Their visitation appointment process is simple and I was able to meet a few cats during my time. The staff is friendly and they guided me to a cat that matched my personality after only having a short interaction with me. They love those animals and it's evident. I visited and took home Luca all in the same afternoon. The adoption process is easy and efficient. The staff does a great job with telling you everything you need to know. Luca has adjusted wonderfully and I'm so happy to have him. The animals they have are great so I recommend popping in if you're considering adopting a cat. Thanks AWLA!!

They do not have time limits on their animals for adoptions, but they will euthanize in the most extreme cases if the animal is a danger and behavioral trainers are unable to help or if the animal is suffering from more extreme medical conditions. It's very much a decision of last resort and must be agreed upon by their leadership, as I understand it.

Thank you for thinking of us when looking to adopt a dog! Our adoption process begins with meeting with the dog you are interested in adopting, whether that is a dog at our shelter or a dog in one of our foster homes. After that our Adoption Team will go over what we know of the dog's history, including any medical or behavioral needs. Many of our dogs are ready to go home that same day, so it's a good idea to have your home ready and bring a flat leash with you. Our adoption fees vary by age of the dog and include their full medical exam, basic vaccinations and spay/neuter surgery. For more information about the adoption process or specific animals, please visit our website or give us a call.
