It is always best to check their website. They are only closed on Weds., so you can stop by and pick one out anyway. Special events happen throughout the year also. But there is also a rigorous adoption process to make sure any animal is going to a safe and loving home.
Animals get adopted on a first come, first served basis, and the shelter receives new animals all the time. Puppies and kittens are among the most popular animals, so they tend to get adopted very soon after they become available. You can always check the website and/or call before stopping by to see if any are up for adoption.
