I’ve been here several times and it never disappoints! Wine bar on the first floor, cat lounge on the second floor. Only 12 people allowed in the cat lounge at a time to avoid overcrowding/overwhelming the cats so reservations are highly recommended. Staff are friendly, caring, and passionate about helping the rescue cats that live there find their forever homes. Nice food & drink menu includes locally brewed beers/ciders, grilled cheeses, & edible cookie dough. Fun events like jeopurrdy, wine tasting, yoga and more. I appreciate that they offer adult only hours & have an age requirement. **Be sure to read the FAQ’s & policies before you go!**

Excellent experience! The employees are really friendly and eager to answer any questions you may have. You don't need to be looking to adopt a feline friend, you can go and have a nice and unique experience with the kitties while enjoying a glass of wine and supporting their cause.

This place is great! I began by visiting with the cats. They were so cute and playful. I then ordered “the bengal” grilled cheese and it was gooey and delicious! The cherry beer was also great. Will definitely be back!

WOW! I can’t believe it has taken so long for us to check this place out. We are cat lovers. Unfortunately, we already have two cats so we are unable to adopt from this amazing organization. However, we loved supporting them by buying some drinks and heading upstairs to play with the cats. The staff at Mount Purrnon are very kind, knowledgeable and you can tell that they love the cats. This place has many places for visitors and cats to sit and tons of toys. The cats were so lovable and friendly. If you’re looking to adopt, PLEASE consider Mount Purrnon- they do great things here. We will definitely be back for our regular cat therapy.

All of the cats that reside here go through our partner rescue Fancy Cats to ensure vaccinations and clear medical history. While we do not allow other cats here, Fancy Cats does take on cats from other rescues and clear them for this environment.
If you go on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, or close to a holiday for sure make a reservation just in case. Otherwise usually you can do a walk in with little problem. Sometimes you need to be a bit patient and wait for the next hour slot but there's plenty to do around there to kill time.
Mount Purrnon doesn't have designated parking. There is street parking (metered) in the lot behind the building as well as out front on Alfred Street and around the corner on King Street. Free 2 hour parking spots can be found further south on parts of Alfred Street or Prince Street.
