I find as my dog has gotten older they don't seem to be responsive in returning calls soon enough and soooo difficult to schedule appointments. They suggest take your pet to emergency then when you follow up they won't adhere or accept emergency vet suggestions only to spend even more money! Not to mention pet plan pay over $500 a year on... might be better to select another option for vet services.

Banfield is a friendly pet centered care network and my dog is always well treated at all the appointments. Banfield also has convient let drop off so you can drop them off in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon. I accidentally showed up on a day I didn’t have an appointment (I scheduled it for the following month) and thankfully they were still able to take my puppy and schedule me for a proper follow up. If considering Banfield for your fur baby definitely think about joining the network no matter your location the staff will take care of your pets needs!

Kate at Banfield Richmond is wonderful. I don’t know what I would have done without her! She is well informed on the plans and systems, very professional and patient. She is the best and I am grateful I got hold of her today!

I gave this place a second chance after they miscommunicated my first scheduled appointment. I should have gone with my gut. I asked for my cats Rx since I couldn't start his insurance plan that day. When I got home, the species said canine. I realize we all make mistakes. But, a doctor. Writing a script. Messes up the SPECIES?! 🤯 Never going back.

No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including: • Vaccinations • Dental Care • Parasite Control • Nutritional Counseling • Behavioral Counseling • Comprehensive Examinations
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
