Have had 2 homes inspected by Keith and he’s timely, thorough, and professional. His reports include dozens of photos along with video and captioning. If you’re there with him, you can learn a lot about your home too. Stonebriar came highly recommended and they did not disappoint.

It can be tough to find a quality, experienced home inspector when you are in a time crunch. Thankful we were referred to Stonebriar Property Inspections and are so happy they came to review the property and give a very thorough report. Thank you!!

With 35 years in the real estate business I can confidently say that Keith Boggs is in the top 3% of professional home inspectors in the metroplex. Not only is he a proven leader in the industry he stays up on current updates including the latest builder codes When Keith performs an inspection for my client I know they are in good hands and will get the most thorough inspection possible as well as communicating well with his client Pete Kerrigan KW Plano

They did an awesome job! I was in Hawaii with my wife when they did the inspection, and came back to a very thorough report given to us. Thanks so much, Stonebriar Property Inspections!

Questions & Answers

Do any defects or problems that you find during the home inspection need to be repaired before I close on the home?

That's a really good question. To be honest with you, it's totally up to you and the seller. You can negotiate that the repairs be made before you close on the house or use the information from our home inspection to negotiate the final price. Decisions you make should be included in your contract, by the way.

Do I need to be there in person when you inspect the home?

We actually get asked this a lot. It is always a good idea to be there when we perform the home inspection. If you’re there, we have the opportunity to go over the inspection with you when it’s complete and explain what we found. And you may also have questions about the findings. So, I highly recommend that you be there when it's inspected.

How long does the home inspection take?

It really depends on the size of the home and the square footage. Usually it takes anywhere between 2 to 4 hours. For larger homes it could take longer.

When you inspect the home, what parts of will be inspected?

A licensed home inspector from our Dallas or Frisco office will examine all visible and accessible areas of the home. This normally includes: -- Foundation, grading, drainage, and guttering -- Roof covering materials, roof structures, and attic spaces -- Walls, ceilings, and floors -- Doors, windows, and stairways -- Fireplaces and chimneys -- Porches, balconies, decks, and carports -- Electrical, heating, ventilation, and cooling systems -- Plumbing systems and fixtures and gas lines -- Major appliances, including garage door openers -- Driveways, walkways, and patios
