If there is zero star I’ll give them zero star. Even though you have appointment which by the was was made 6weeks earlier, your average wait time is little over an hour. And the lady at the window was mean and no smile. When I asked her the question, she said we can’t upgrade to real ID because you don’t have NJ license yet. But my question to her was ‘after we get the license how do we upgrade it to real ID’. It clearly shows that she didn’t want a listen to other people’s question before answering it. I do understand that they work there and they deal with same issues and gets similar questions from more than 50 people a day per agent but it won’t hurt to smile and listen to other people’s question before you just jump in and give incorrect answers.

Yes, the DMV is a very scary place - IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED‼️ I made an appointment online, showed up 20 minutes early, showed my confirmation to the security guy, checked in at the front desk, made a line for 2 minutes to check my documents, waited 15 minutes to be called, processed my paper work in 10 minutes & I was out the door. Everything took less than 30 minutes. 👍 Be prepared, bring the right documents and then extra backup documents. Good luck!

Excellent ! I All you need an appointment and required documents . The staffs are really helpful , this place deserves more than five star. I got my initial permit and did knowledge test from here , It was really smooth and can't be better. As majority of the services is through appointments , there is no rush and long queues . I could see many people not coming with proper documents and blame officials after that.I would recommend this DMV for sure .

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Every employee should be fired especially the so called security/information guy. Rude customer service, irresponsible and arrogant humans inside think they can say whatever they like in an angry tone. I hope sooner or later better people who actually SERVE and HELP the people start working here otherwise never coming back here ever again.

For your driving licence social Security card, credit card and your expired license. It's must be 6 points documents... Proof of address is not a point.
How much do I need to pay to renew my driver's license
What documents do I need
How much is it cost if i want to get duplicate ID? Because i lost my state ID
Yes... Absolutely, this is a full service motor vehicle center.
I bought a used car in in NJ and i registered it in my name at DMV. Using my GA state license. I bought proof of address utility bill.
I did this. You need your birth certificate & if your married, a marriage license showing name change for a woman, your social, your ny id, a CC, lease & a bill with current address

I did not get my renewal registration form. What can I do?
It's still closed
you need the Dr. forms from DMV filled by your Dr. and a prescription
Hello Cyndee...only by appointments..sorry..but..try to do this....go in the website exactly at midnight...(12:00)am...from that moment on lots of appointment will be available....also try to call..day by day regulations by COVID-19 are changing..good luck.
It is best to go personal and present the original documents. It is my opinion
Yes ( si )
I'm having trouble cleaning an appointment
Go there early and get in line.
To be honest I'm not sure about it but I saw people just dropping off the plates at the dmv personal and getting a recipe for the plates
No its not just went over there.12/29/20
Get there when they open in the morning and get a ticket number. You will then be texted when it is your turn. They run out of numbers for the day pretty quickly so I'd suggest getting there as early as possible after they open.
No but get there very early if you want to leave early. I was there 6am and it was late. Be there around 4-4:30am no joke
No, only DL renewals and such..and north bergen location will not do titles and registration, only DL
The requirements are: residence, social security, passport, credit or debit card and of course the driver's license from your native country, they are $ 15 the value of the permit. There they will explain you better
Yes. You do not have to wait on the long line for drivers license to return plates. Just speak to the Sheriff at the front door.
Proof of insurance , vehicle information , copy of old registration , you could also fill out a replacement form.ATMG will contact the county to locate the paperwork. A loss in transit/replacement fee of $2-$4.50 will be assessed. You will receive a new registration. Beautiful Name.
Passport is the best you can have ... certified nacemento. A bank statement..a depit card .. Evedensa where he lives as the bill of pse @ g .. or tarheta of Medicare (health insurance) ... are 6 points that nessesita
Birth paper, social security card, Passport, proof of address
I don't think so.
How do I return the old license plate ? Is it possible to return them to your office at the even closed hours ?
No, i seen there was a license plate drop box outside
In the paperwork that you fill out where it asks the price you put gift. That's pretty much it.
Nj motor motor vehicle commission. You can get your appointment by online is easy
Yes but the appointment is better for now do it after 1am
And how to get the driving book
What do you need to get a driver's license? I wonder what you need to get a driver's license
Good morning Vivana has to make an appointment through the internet page
Enter the website of Motor and Vehicles and inform you of what you need, because depending on the country, they can give you points. We do not all need the same.
Yes you do and pay 25 if is just your license
If they gave you that appointment, you have to go tomorrow 06 that I think but better confirm with the motor and vehicle offices. I do not work there.
I believe you have a grace period so you should be ok due to the pandemic.
I don't think so. They will mail it.
I'm not completely sure, but if you go on line NJMVC.org you can get more information.
Yes it is.
Yes everything is done by appointment
Your best option would be online. I've already tried to get an appointment online 6 times and I keep getting "none available"so I went to a DMV location and was told by the lady at the door "you need to go on line" which I responded "I've tried 6 times" in which I was told again "you need to go on line"...she obviously was a beauriacrat since she didn't try to accommodate my problem but shrugged me off. When I got home I called and waited for 1hr 20 mins for someone to answer +kept the phone plugged in) finally a spoke to someone, explained the reason for the call and she suggested to try online after 12:00 am...Ill follow up with this story after I call at the suggested time. Good luck to all who try.
Me. Nonbre. It is. Rene. Gramajo I want. To be. A. Sita. In order to. The. Lisensia
No only appointment
No everything is by appointment
Keep checking people are constantly canceling, also try to go to a DMV further out side of the city maybe like an 1hr away. I tried to get sooner dates by scheduling in DMV 1hr and half away. But you don't have to do that, I was able to find appointments on Saturday on the same day. The trick is to keep checking. Good Luck 👍
Birth certificate, SS card, bill with address, insurance or credit card
Birth certificate, SS card, insurance or bank card
You must go online to get an appointment. Just type NJMVC on your browser and follow the steps.
Yes but if its not too busy they'll let you
Yes
Everything is by appointment! You must carry 6 identification points so that you can get your ID
Make an appointment mvc.gov
They will want other forms of ID, such as birth certificate, SS card passport, ins.card bank card
Yes
Yes
Yes
You have to make an appointment
Today DMV OPEN
Appointment only
I have the same issues 2 weeks ago, either u call them.on the phone but u have to wait on line for hours or try to get appointments at a different location if u are try first at north bergen, try at newark,....
https://mymvc.state.nj.us/license-renewal/login.xhtml This is the link
You have to make an appointment
At motor vehicle
I recommend that you go directly to the office and be there at 8am. Normally at that time there is a person especially to give information at the entrance. He speaks Spanish and English and can help you with your questions and the documents you may require.
No. You just go there , get a tocken and give the 6 point ID proof. They will give you an exam permit. Reach there by atleast 8am to get a tocken.
The one in North Bergen they do ID's & it's a walk-in center...I went 3 hours early to get in line & it worked I got mine! You can also make appointments but they're hard to get & may not be convenient depending how soon you need it.
Sorry. Not sure. Maybe check their website?
Appointment is preferred. You can walk-in but there is no guarantee that you will be able to get in as the preference is for appointment.
No you have to go in person
The state of New Jersey has yet to pass a resolution for those without legal status.
Yes
https://emvc.state.nj.us/mvc/emvc_sac.shtml Please use this online service
I want to make an appointment
You should be able to do it online the non-driver id's you have to do in person. Getting an appointment is extremely hard I chose to do walk in & got what I needed!
They do walk-ins you HAVE to get there early because they're only giving out a certain amount of tickets to the walk ins plus ppl have appointments. I got there a little before 5am and got what I needed. Take a chair!
You need take appointment online for out of state transfer.
You have to go get the examination permit in person then schedule online for the actual knowledge test appointment.
No. This is a licensing center only.
Make an online appointment.
I researched your question and it does appear that if you miss this deadline you will have to repeat the process. I would log on to dmv nj site and also pay attention to any news on the subject to see if they are going to extend that deadline.
From what I understand all MVCs in New Jersey just recently changed to appointment only, no more walk ins
Yes, you can find the appointment online
I do not believe so, I made an appointment their for my written test and had to wait on line for license. I got there at 730 am and was done by 10:30. They give you a number and then text you when your number is close. That way you can leave, get coffee or wait in your car. Also check online as recently they were listed as closed for 10 days due to covid. I went on a tuesday.
Yes
You would renew by mail, under the current guidelines
You must go through the office and ask at the door there is a person who will tell you what you need
No, first go early in the morning to get your turn to take the 6 points to verify your Id. After that, go to schedule your appointment at: https://mymvc.state.nj.us/knowledgetest-scheduling-system/login.xhtml
My daughter took her test in school they gave her something to take to dmv saying she passed dmv gave her her permit she didnt have to take the test again she is in high school
To be honest don't think 🤔 but u can go to their website for inf
Please be there at 3:30
I would say no show up half hour before or maybe they text or email you half hour before
Because of COVID19 must DMVs are doing only especific transactions. North Bergen is not doing registration at the moment. Near by DMV doing registrations is Jersey City.
North bergen is not closed. It is open for licensing and IDs. Just need to get there around 7 am for a chance to get one of the tickets for the day. They only see the people that gets a ticket. Is tedious because of the long line.
The most feasible is to go from dawn to newark or newbroswik or look at NJMVC.nj.org for information
How long ago was the process , should receive it within 10 business day's , try going back on line , maybe get an answer , if you can't reach by phone , you may have to make a visit to your local MV location , which you tried to avoid , but you can ask them for help , line for questions not bad ,
Njdmv website. But bergen is only for driver license renewal only Not plates.
You need to go to lodi for that
In NJ, the registration value of a new car is valid for 4 years, the other used ones are valid for one year. The value 1970 0 older and less than 2,700 lbs $ 35. And so the table continues with different values. 1971-1979 3,800 lbs $ 72. Over 2 years less than 3,500 lbs $ 46 Within two years more than 3,500 $$ 84. You can customize your license for $ 50 for the first time, and an additional $ 50 is applied to reactivate the personalized plates when the registration expires for a period of more than two years.
No, you have to go and stand in line to get a token. Tokens are limited per day. So try to go early like 5 am etc. They give tokens at 8 am
Follow these instructions: https://www.state.nj.us/mvc/vehicles/regreplace.htm
Depends what specifically you want to know: before or after getting a number to wait for your turn? The best time to be able to even get a (limited) number there is at 4am. I've seen people camp out there but not too many to prevent you from getting a number. They open at 8am. You can imagine how long that'll take. Make sure to prepare since it's a long, cold wait. Once you get a number, which could be within the 2 hours it takes for the person to give out numbers and to weed out all who should not be there, you wait an hour if you are in between 1 to 50. You keep roughly waiting an hour more within each 50 or so people. Keep in mind, it's only for a license, ID or people taking the driver's test; they're trying to limit the amount of people INSIDE. It took me from 4:45am to 1pm, being there. I was lucky the sun warmed me up, I can stand for 5 hours straight and I managed to eat something before going over there...Good luck, if you absolutely need to go in person, that is.
You have to go to a vehicle center DMV this location is for license related issues. Visit the website to find the nearest to you and I suggest you do a good search or even call them to see how you would be able to do it without the elderly person being there. https://www.state.nj.us/mvc/vehicles/reginitial.htm
You first have to make the line early in the morning i suggest by 5am - 6am the latest because any time after that it is not guaranteed they will see you. They give out 350 numbers mon-fri and on sat 350 numbers. Once inside they will check your 6 points of documents take your picture you pay $10 for the for the permit test then you get a receipt of payment and your permit number allows you to go online and make a appointment for the written test. When you register online for the test it will give you DMV option and time slots available for that specific DMV. Be prepare it can be a month away after for the test. My appointment is going to take 3 weeks.
You can only do the driver's test, ID and anything to do with a license in this location. Duplicate or new license, and yes, even probationary license if you don't have that yet, specifically. And yes, you have to bring the 6 point documentation or items. You can look up pictures of that easily on google. Just look for "6 point ID". I honestly have no clue what you mean by "reflectorized decals", tho...you can always ask the person handing the numbers out about that in this location.
First check if it's available online.
Yes once you register your number online it will give you the option to choose a DMV and a time slot that is available for that specific DMV.
To take the permit test to you have to first make the line in the morning like 5am the latest to be seen ( I have made the line twice at 3am and have gotten 26th position in line on a Saturday and 20th position on a Thursday). After they open they are going to give you a ticket number and ask for your cell phone number so they can text you to let you know when your time is coming to enter.Once inside they will check your 6 points of identification and proof of address hint if you take a secondary proof of address but has to be a federal mail like income tax you can get your Real ID as well. Second they call you up and take your picture and you pay a $10 fee for the permit but you will come at a later date to take the driver knowledge exam (permit test). They give you a receipt with your permit number printed on what looks like the registration paper you keep on your glove box. You then have to go online and register to take the test it can be up to a month for the date of exam.
What Celene Rodriguez said is correct but also be ready to be there by 2am to 5am would be the best time to be sure you get seen inside. And also remember it is a license center so be sure you are going to the correct DMV. Also the people you see that have a online appointment is dew to them being there before doing the line and all to get the drivers permit, they have to come back to take the test at a scheduled date that can be a month away.
Weekdays could be better. You have a good chance of receiving service and finishing before noon as long as you arrive before 6 am and secure your spot in the long line. Numbers are distributed at 8. Those first in line get to leave earlier and those at the end of the line are probably done by 4pm. Again, how early you arrive, determines how long you'll wait in a cooler morning vs hotter afternoon.
You have to go to the north Bergen office and request for a valid permit with the 6 points, after that make an appointment for the reading text, calling to the offices.
FROM THE BEGINNING... READ ALL REQUIREMENTS BECAUSE JERSEY IS LIKE NOOOOO OTHER STATE.. I transferred my out of state license to New Jersey.. like I didn't have a license b4.. And jersey takes proof of address SERIOUSLY... UTILITY BILL .. BANK STATEMENT SOCIAL SECURITY ..AND SECOND PROOF OF ADDRESS IF U WANT SMART ID..
on line only right now
Mudarce a nj
Hey how would I be able to join the line online
You cant do any vehicle related operations at north bergen mvc. It's all driver stuff, licenses, real id, etc
It has to see in the news or better approach the establishment. You have to be aware.
check the website.. the 1i was at north bergen mainly license .. they were taking plates for people who were surrendering the plates but pretty much just license transactions
when door opened staff went around and handed out numbers . I was there on a Saturday.. they gave it 150 numbers. I joined line 645am and I was ticket#99.. people who were there with someone from turns waiting in car and so forth ... ..
U have to make appointment Online .. cannot walk in
Not yet, you should check the web for when you can. They told me on Wednesday that I went to the place
Go directly to the office and ask, they are not performing all the services or check online. That was what I heard the day I went to the site
Why you asking me???
Its just a walk in
As of now North Bergen DMV is only dealing with license related issues. You will have to go to njmvc.gov for more info.
North Bergen location is only dealing with current license issues. It is not doing any license test. But you may walk up politely like I did yesterday and ask a question or get a slip you may need. For anything relating to a car like plates, registration or titles are not being done in this location. Visit njmvc.gov for updted info.
It is closed until June 29
The 29
If you can do it online there are seven requirements
Maybe the 29th they ope. To the public.
It's gonna open on 15th June. From July onwards the time of opening is 8am.
Supposedly June 8th.
You have to bring the documents from the Moorish car vehicle to be registered
Yep
I'm not sure. But try on line.
Similar to the 6 points but you need two forms of government is like passport and non expired driver license. Plus birth certificate and Social Security card. The regular proof of address like utility bill and bank statement. Go online there is a check list that takes you through the entire process. You can print out the check list and take it with you to the MVC. If you have all your paperwork together, like everyone should, it cuts down on the wait time.
The people at MVC do not take an hour and a half for lunch. They work hard to process as many people as possible. They are entitled to have personal time during the course of their day. Maybe if the people going to the MVC were better prepared and had their documents in order the wait time would not be as long.
You can a change of address on your license online before it expires.
I just passed by and they're open. And if they're open that means they giving out the written test today
6 point verification and proof of address you can use passport current id social security and proof of address
Go to motor vehicle
You have to go to DMV
Only one guardian and 8 point id verification.
A utility bill with your name and adress ,
If your name appear on the contract of the truck yes, but otherwise the owner have to be present.
I don't think you can go earlier. Best to go in the date of or after where the date is stamped on the paper.
I understand that if another country's driver's license is valid, a tourist can drive vehicles in the USA. If it is expired no. Another thing, if you do not have immigration status (illegal) in the country you cannot drive with your license from your country.
you need to take foreign licence in written test. then after pasiing written test you will nj DL. no need for road test
: Social Security card. Identification (photo ID or passport) Proof of state residency (copy of lease, utility bill or mortgage) Proof of citizenship (birth certificate, passport, resident card, etc.)
Yes
Yea
Yes
I really dont know...sorry...
Bring your title issues to you from NH and your NJ drivers license and you should be fine.
Your birth certificate and or passport
6 pts of ID and the new/replacement license fee.
It doesn't matter what time they close because the service is absolutely terrible and they are always understaffed.
Yes. Unless you do it online or mail it in. If you go in person the name of person registration would have to present there license
No. For inspection sticker Secaucus provides
Yes
Are you sure? Because my dad also lost his state id, so we went there to get new one, they took only $11 dollars
Pls refer to their website
Your state id or passport, ssn, physical bank statement or utility bill on your name and an debit card on your name. However, you can refer to their website for details
I doubt it, but espanol is definitely
I think 30 days, but can refer to guidelines
pay suspensions fees and tickets, and show proof to regional offices . Newark Paterson
I believe it's $12 and your 6 points all over again
If you are only here temporarily you may not be eligible for a NJ license
yesssssss as long as you have your required 6 points
Maybe $25, I think in cash, not sure.
same as a regular permit, Be at least 17 years old. Pass a knowledge (written) test. Pass a vision screening. Present a required proof of the 6 Point ID verification. Pay the $10 examination permit fee.
Actually you can go to any NJ DMV depending on convenience and hours of operation that works best for you.
Go to the website, they have a 6 point system with different IDs having different values... You need the right combination to make it work.
residence, social security, bank debit card and proof of address
Bring lease for new address, and 6 point identification. To learn more about the 6 point requirements go to the NJDMV website, it has a lot of good info.
If you can
no, you only need parent consent for a permit
Must get a new official title to be valid.
Go to an inspection center, I know the one in Secaucus but they are all over. Bring your car, registration, license, insurance card and they do the inspection... No charge.
Id, insurance
Yes I nelieve there is a charge for changes.
Governor declared state of emergency so state offices are probably closed.
A NJ driver convicted of a moving violation in NY will be given 2 points by NJ Motor Vehicle Commission. This is regardless of how many points NY assigns to the violation. Days of states not talking or communicating with each other are over.... 😉
Go to the Motor vehicle website
Sorry no idea
