To take the permit test to you have to first make the line in the morning like 5am the latest to be seen ( I have made the line twice at 3am and have gotten 26th position in line on a Saturday and 20th position on a Thursday). After they open they are going to give you a ticket number and ask for your cell phone number so they can text you to let you know when your time is coming to enter.Once inside they will check your 6 points of identification and proof of address hint if you take a secondary proof of address but has to be a federal mail like income tax you can get your Real ID as well. Second they call you up and take your picture and you pay a $10 fee for the permit but you will come at a later date to take the driver knowledge exam (permit test).They give you a receipt with your permit number printed on what looks like the registration paper you keep on your glove box. You then have to go online and register to take the test it can be up to a month for the date of exam.
Yes... You mean the driver's test, no? When I had arrived in the afternoon (3:30pm) they were letting ppl in for the test, apparently. Dividing those in the early morning who were only taking the test. Anyone doing anything else was limited by the numbers that were handed to them. After that, only test takers were allowed in, a few at a time, until closing time.
