You first have to make the line early in the morning i suggest by 5am - 6am the latest because any time after that it is not guaranteed they will see you. They give out 350 numbers mon-fri and on sat 350 numbers. Once inside they will check your 6 points of documents take your picture you pay $10 for the for the permit test then you get a receipt of payment and your permit number allows you to go online and make a appointment for the written test. When you register online for the test it will give you DMV option and time slots available for that specific DMV. Be prepare it can be a month away after for the test. My appointment is going to take 3 weeks.

Gonna have to look that up on their website...I've seen people go in for the test until closing time so I can imagine you'll be fine whenever if there isn't any appointments needed.
