With so many people wanting to work and do an excellent job city of miami beach doesn't seem to find the right people. Service is horrible, some employees are extremely rude thank God for those few that are actually very sweet and professional but overall much supervision is need and more customer support Training, whenever trying to open a permit it takes days before anything happens then when you try calling there is none one available. Very dissatisfied with this city.

Your experience will depend on the permit clerk you meet. If you are lucky you will be greeted by someone smiling at you, knows the process and help you to get through at his/her best. Otherwise, which is in most cases, be ready to be thrown from one counter to another like a tennis ball, because either a permit clerk has no idea about the “New rules” or she might be acting you like you are her mentally disabled subject, she owns you and you don’t have any right to talk.

If I could give negative stars, I would. It is absolutely incredible the level of incompetence and the lack of coherence there is in this department. As a customer, all of my experiences dealing with this city department have been less than satisfactory. There is no organization at all. Clerks tell you one thing over the phone and other representatives tell you a completely different thing in person. I wish they'd at least get themselves in the same page and train their staff to give the appropriate information. Cannot believe my tax payer dollars pay these salaries. Please PROVIDE the customer service we deserve and are paying you for.

Unless things have changed since I last worked for the CMB Bldg Dept, it was a requirement and the inspector would look at the logs. Feel free to call Chief Ibrahim Alvarez or Lance Baccus for clarification and let us know.
After you get master permit (app signed by gc, 2 floorplans) you will need a plumbing sub permit signed by a certified plumber.

Your design professional needs to identify the scope of work, put it to paper and see if the City will allow you to sit down for a dry run meeting.

That is a separate temporary electric service permit before commentsment of construction. Is a separate temporary electric permit.
Bring in to the building department his updated license, LBT, workers comp or exemption and his general liability for the City of Miami Beach
Yes you do need a permit. No there is no way to calculate the cost unless you draw it up and figure it out by looking at the fee schedule
I did not know that RED in more than 36 buildings throughout SoBe and black in 10 others were considered "pastel colors" I think the rules do not apply equally to all tax payers

It depends on type of business, and what previous use was at location.....
