Nice, helpful staff! Especially to an "outsider" and not being familiar with the area at all. I wish I had caught her name but she was very helpful. The ferry ride was done well and professional. The Capt did a great job, especially the one on the way back from the island. I took one * for reasons I'd rather not say here.

The ferry comes every 30 minutes, and they may change the terminal, they have two currently, so pay attention from where the cars get out, either left or right lane. Is an effective service and due to previous accidents they will ask you to turn your motor off to avoid accidents. For visitors you will have to ask a resident to “clear you up” so you can visit.

The gateway to Fisher Island is the ferry terminal on Miami Beach, an exit on the MacArthur Causeway. The staff here are top notch. Courteous, experienced, and masters of their jobs. The security of Fisher Island starts here, and the gatekeepers are linked seamlessly to the island with tablets. They give them efficient tools to allow residents and authorized visitors/guests permission to board the ferry. The ferry takes only 5-10 minutes for the crossing, and accommodates vehicles as well as passengers on foot in an air conditioned salon on board.
