I hqve had a terrible time since they no longer renew or deal with tags at any of the locations. First I needed to get a plate for a new vehicle and I made an appointment for 10:00am and it was almost noon before I was finally seen. What's the point of making an appointment if you're still sitting there for 2 hours? Second, one of the decals on my vehicles was damaged. There is very little guidance to getting a replacement decal on the website not even a price just a form to fill out and it tells you to send in a fee but doesn't tell you where or how much. And when I emailed for clarification the email had different form requirements from what was posted on the website. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because renewing my other vehicle online and picking the tags up at the Sarno branch went reasonably smoothly.

Staff are helpful. Employee shortage makes for longer wait times, understandable - was seen an hour and a half after my appointment. Not a fan of the run around that was given to get my vehicle registered; was given conflicting information several times and was told I can come back, I get there and surprise! I need a new appointment.

Not happy with my tax collector. They said I needed to make an appointment for title services. I made an appointment. I've been here 45 min and still waiting to be seen. There is no way to know if I should abandon my time slot because there is nobody to talk to and they my number starts with a T and they only seen to call tickets with the letter D or R

Quickly and friendly service! Made appointments online for the following week. During COVID, appointment only for licenses which is great. My husband and I were in and out in under 30 mins. The lobby was well spaced for social distancing. The back area was not as spaced out as the clerks’ desks are close together. All in all, a really good experience.

I would say you can call whoever has the loan
I would try to see if you can secure the original title and then transfer it. If you can't find the original, you can apply for a replacement title and then transfer it to yourself and then gift it to the grandson.
What do I need to renew my vehicle registration by mail. Tag number and insurance policy number- and how much does it cost. Tried doing this on line. Had no luck, email address is dead. Please advise
