Don’t waste your time, animal services does absolutely nothing. I called about stray cats attacking my puppy in our yard & on walks while she’s leashed & they basically told me to handle it myself. This department is obviously only for looks not for actual servicing.

They refused to take control of pets in a squalor home where no food or adequate water or veterinary care is not being provided. Someone offered to rehome and provide the care but the AC said they cannot do anything.

On January 24 we had 2 pit bulls come into our yard into our front porch and they killed one of our cats. Animal services came out and filed a report. The animals were not taken the owners denied ownership so a citation was issued. After 8 more calls to Animal Services and numerous attacks to other animals and injuries to people they finally took the 2 dogs. Only the neighbors brought in more pits. On April 15 around 11 pm these pits also came on our porch and killed another cat and tried to attack my sister. Only this time animal services never came out , never filed a report, nothing was done because it was a weekend and we were told by BCSO that they would be out the next day to file a report that never happened because it was now Easter Sunday. Last night these same dogs once again got out and came into my mother's back yard. BCSO was once again called and we were told again to call Animal Services in the morning. As far as I am concerned Animal Services is a joke. It is poorly run and needs new staff and off u cers to run this so called department. According to your department there's nothing you can do about an animal coming on someone's property and killing another animal, we'll maybe you need to read your ordinance book because these animals can be deemed dangerous after one attack. So you need to educate your staff and yourselves!!

Not sure what good animal services are...Caught the stray cat that I've been having trouble with (that's been using my yard as a toilet) with a collar in my trap and Officer Freedman tells me that they don't pick up stray cats. Never had that problem before. The cat is an animal.....Brevard County Animal Services...what's the problem???
