Dr? Heather Hockman is the Worst Doc I have ever seen at the Viera VA. Came in complaining about being very dizzy with elavated BP...(110/185).. Waited almost 3 hours waiting to be seen (walk-in) I had a stroke while waiting and had to be transported to nearest hospital.. She and the front desk staff are incredibly lazy. I fought for my Country and this is a slap in the face. Why do we allow employees to treat Vet's like this..?? Need to clean out the garbage and get rid of employees that refuse to do the job they were hired to do.

LOL, called/went to two numbers-primary care and other was to make change or schedule, "mailbox is full and cannot accept messages, please call back during normal business hours". It's 3pm on Thursday! Called VA operator-went back to their number, got a recording, if ... blah blah blah. Shut it down if they can't run it right.

Hit and Miss if they actually get back to you , half the time they will ask you to leave a message and never get back to you , and they will set up an appointment last minute and call you non stop 1 hour before and then mark you as "NO SHOW." The people answering the phone are rude and will hang up for no reason other than sheer laziness and hope that eventually you will give up on trying. I would also like to mention I have had great success with this VA when everything is in sync , but to have that happen you have to make sure they are actually doing their job at the front desk so you can actually see the doctor. I have seen it from both sides ( from calling and having them hangup or just put you on hold , and I have seen them do this as I am standing in front of them and they are talking to another patient.) Its a shame that we allow people of this caliber to even work in a place as sacred as the VA, but it doesn't sup me one bit since the VA has been screwing veterans since day 1. If you are able to actually get in and see a doctor and get the desk weasels to do their job , then you will get great care but stay on top of it or they will toss you in a spiral that can lead to triggers and your eventual demise.

I don't understand how certain clinics have the right to cancel a doctors order after a certain period of time!! That order should stay in the computer, in the patient's chart until the order is complete. That is some BS right there!! Not only is it inconvenient for the patient, but now the doctor has to do double work🤷🏻♀️😡👎🏼

Yes
Yes, but you must be rated as 100% disabled to utilize it.
If you're already a patient, you can create an account on www.myhealthevet.gov and use the webpage to book an appointment or call 407-599-1404. I much prefer myhealthevet.
Vision yes , dental I'm not sure. I'm sure it's on their website.
(800) 645-6895 xt 2
No
Open Mon-Friday except for federal holidays
Yes. ..65 and above
Yes. Call them and ask I'm not sure the process but there are many volunteers at the VA all the time.
Sorry to hear that. I've only ever dealt with Dr Wizbikie(sp?). He's a top-notch podiatric surgeon, and a damed-good, caring doctor.
Go to your assigned clinic and they'll either handle you or direct you to another clinic.
You can call the VA appointment line. They are booked out into August.
You shouldn't have to sign up to visit the facility. Just be a vet or properly associated w/ the armed forces. FYI. You would be better off visiting the headquarters in Orlando, FL. Closer to you by at least 1 1/2hrs.
My suggestion is to work through a Veterans Service Organization, such as the Disabled American Veterans, AM Vets (there are others as well.) I do not have a personal recommendation or contact at the Viera clinic.
No, Gemini Clinic is more like a Walk In Clinic. You need to go to Lake Nona for an Emergency Department.
Yes, Viera VA Health Care Center has Cardiology.
No. Just eye & ear checkups. Check other answer.
You can bring him in as a walk-in to the Gemini Team after he visits Enrollment in the rotunda to get into our system...and urgent care provider can put him in for a wheelchair evaluation and issued if warranted unless already has one from his primary VA
All said is true. Please do not miss an appointment with va dental. If u do ,then u will wait another 2 to 3 month.
You have to go there and fill out papers for your enrollment You cannot do it online
Yes.
Just wanted to make a correction to the above response. It's for individuals 65 and over and by appointment only I believe. If you have difficulty receiving the vaccine from the VA, Brevard Health Alliance is also issuing vaccines to those 65 and above by appointment as well.
I am an eligible veteran but I do not receive treatment at the clinic,! Would I still allowed to get get a vaccination there??
They were last week I got mine on Tuesday
Call 407-631-0499. It was so quick and easy!
Call the lakenono VA center
45mins to an hour away
No
Here is the main nimber. It works fine. (321) 637-3788
Both. They have a drive thru set up for flu shots and there are some pharmacies that will provide them free to vets as well
All supplies can be obtained through the Prosthetics clinic providing you are registered as having a CPAP machine at the VA Viera clinic. If not, that can be done through your PCP who can place a consult to the CPAP clinic. Once established, all supplies can be obtained through the Prosthetics clinic. You can see any of the 3 CPAP nurses (by appointment only) who can assist with your needs, if you have issues with your machine and for regular routine follow-ups. For any immediate needs, the Lake Nona facility in Orlando has a walk-in clinic which is open Monday-Thursday 7:30-11:00.
It is in Viera next to Space Coast stadium.
Not sure of company. Bill Burton is the optical company contact
I do not know. Wish could be helpful.
If you are enrolled at Viera, contact the pharmacy with your base address just like any other address. Then they can send meds there.
It is like a Primary Care Clinic.
They have a walk-in clinic (no pun intended) at the Gemini Clinic @ the end of the left hallway. I don't know what, if any, limits are there, but I have used it a few times over the years. (NB: There are wheelchairs just inside the lobby, to the right,)
No they dont have a direct number. All phone numbers are re directed to a call center in Lake Nona. 877-637-3788 or 321-637-3788. The same goes for TeleCare.
(800) 645-6895, then opt 2...and opt 2 again
The clinic is open, but so try. If u r close by possibly quicker to go there as opposed to calling. Wednesday is perhaps better?
I am not and doctor

Call main Clinic #. Ask for information. They can advise you.
Sorry, I don't know. I'd suggest calling main number and asking operator.
I believe that is s yes
My husband has been in Hospice care since July of 2018 for COPD. He was given a scooter as he's in the last stage. But he was not given a lift for his vehicle to transport his scooter. That took almost a year to get. Then his scooter died. He took it it for repairs. No loaner was given. After 45 days someone decided to junk his chair & give him another. That chair turned out to belong to someone else!!! He was ordered to bring this brand new chair BACK!! And just "walk in". It's an 80 mile drive round trip!!! Then he drives there & comes in and was REFUSED to be seen without an appointment!!! Then - he's refised a chair!!! He's to be re-evaluated!!! His appointment? June 25th. WITHOUT A CHAIR!!! This man is dying. He's on constant oxygen. This is so unfair. No one cares. Please don't tell me to call the Patient Advocate. I'm calling my Senator. The press!!! This is wrong.
There is not an age requirement that I know of but there are military service requirements. Try va.gov/healthbenefits for more info
Call them
Ok
There is a cafe in the center of the building
