I submitted my claim at the end of June I was told that my doctor had to be verified he did that called today to check the status of my claim and was told the computer said ihave to do a medical certification again. Why must I fill out another medical certification for my condition that has not changed. This the same doctor I had 5 years ago. EDD is causing me so much stress this doesn't help the healing process if I already worked hard to make the money why do I have to work 10 times harder to get it back. I work hard for every thing I have. Now EDD has caused me to have bad credit I might loose my car I have no way to buy school clothes for my son what's next.... we face being homeless because of the computer checks and balances I wish I could give EDD -100 stars because after being on hold for gourmet the agent hung up on me. Very rude. I should not have toloose what I have to get what is owed to me.

So you want your money back or not? I can't get anyone on the phone and the website is broken. This may be the only way of reaching out to you. You have 30 days to collect or it is assumed you are waving the repayment.

Still awaiting payments for a claim from November 2021. No responses to my multiple Claim Update Requests online. Not able to reach anyone by phone, and get hung up on when I press 0 to speak with a representative. Can’t make an appointment at an office either. What is going on???? This is a HUGE problem. To do this to sick people is unconscionable. I have now written letters to my Senator and State Asseblyman requesting immediate assistance. The fact that the EDD is causing people to become homeless because of their failure to do their job is beyond disturbing. Taxpayers deserve better! Sick people deserve better!

The people at EDD believe they're above receiving complaints. I called with a question and was informed I was flagged for fraud. I had been on SDI with EDD for 11 months and my condition was well documented. I filed a complaint, as it turned out I was misinformed by a EDD employee. So a few days later I received a call from a restricted number, something the EDD is NOT supposed to do, but this lady from the EDD started yelling at me for filing a complaint, I tried explaining that the only reason I filed a complaint was because I was not informed that I was flagged for fraud, but she hung up on me. I requested a claim update at least 30 times and never received a single response. I then was put in with the fraud cases even though there was no evidence of fraud, the EDD had approved everything the previous 11 months. I only received my final 8 weeks pay by contacting Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh’s office and threatening suicide if I wasn't paid. I've got news for the EDD.... YOU ARE NOT ABOVE RECEIVING COMPLAINTS!!! Seriously, acting like children because someone is upset with your HORRIBLE service. If I could give negative stars that would be more appropriate than 1 star. 1 star is too many!! Rolland McCann III

Yes, and it won’t be long before their incompetence leads to desperate people taking action. They can only starve the majority for so long before they finally have had enough.
I have been waiting for 4 1/2 months to get paid. Every reason possible to drag out paying me has happened. Fortunately due to a lot of churches, people advocate fund raisers, friends and family ( and understanding creditors) I have managed to eat, have my home, pge is still on, and gas in the car. Though I’m upset, I know that the people trying to keep the Benefits and claims going forward are incredibly exhaustingly overwhelmed. And you can’t hire new people and expect perfect claims. I’m going to try to calm myself and think, perhaps my claim is slow in going, but perhaps a family with 5 children/out of work parents and bills stacking up, will be able to eat and enjoy a little personal family time. So while still upset I’m going to keep telling myself that a family with 5 kids is ok through this crisis, because of me. Try the 833 number at Exactly 7:59 am your wait time will be about 20-30 min but you’ll talk to a really nice guy that actually goes and finds your claim file.
Not sure but you can submit a SDI claim at edd.ca.gov. The website also allows to attach documents to your online claim.

Additionally, if wrongfully fires you need to contact your employer and discuss what they are telling Edd and try to work it out with them. If not let EDD know that your employer is hostile, that you are in disagreement with what they are stating, and EDD can have an investigator verify details with other mgrs or coemployees. It can be a very messy problem. If you can get on any kind of speaking terms it’s best, or make sure you have evidence to back up what your saying that’s different.
EDD should hire someone too answer the phone...lots of people looking for work!!! Can even work from home.
Well maybe. I wonder if someone has. Possibly if could show hardships from the system not working how it changed many peoples lives in a bad direction possibly. I just obtained forms i am filling out to go in mail certified see what happens

No. And when u get your appeal form to the appeals office theres a 6 month wait bc they are so backed up. I spoke with a appeals judge the other day. She said they are coming up with any reason to disqualify people.

As soon as you realize your mistake you need to go to AskEdd scroll down to “missing wages/ or error screen” and inform them the change. If you wait till they find it because your income is sent by computer and Edd receives info then their computers automatically spit back response due to info not being as stated. If a good reason for error is given, and a little patience, the system will catch up and return the money held back. Do not stop certifying. Keep certifying. Have a nice night

Send a msg to technical support or call them, not hard to get ahold of them or find the letter you received only one time about 2-3 weeks after opening claim. Number is half way down page dead center all by itself, memorize it. It is 10 digits.
