Absolutely spectacular place to visit. Lots of trails. Try to map out your hike ahead of time and shoot for a parking area near its trailhead. Nice picnic area and access to the creek at the top of the road in the visitor center.

Really cool location, especially for a quick morning visit with kids. Very walkable. There is an short little cave walk next to the main parking lot. Even coming in and driving the canyon is certainly worth the cost and trip. There is a spring just outside the park that you can pay about 50 cents fro a gallon. It is nothing to write home about as far as taste but it's clean spring water and notable.

Absolutely beautiful! The river was raging, which made it even more beautiful. There's plenty of easy trails to go on. Be careful going up on Fowlers when it's hot, lots of huge rattle snacks and they're pretty close to the trail, on the rocks. People will usually warn you. They were out in the evening also.

One of the Better State Parks in the Denver area. The road is a little rough going through Eldorado Springs. So, be careful if you have just a normal low clearance vehicle. The trails are very easy to navigate. Nice views of Downtown Denver (on a clear enough day) if you get far enough in. Maybe around the 4 or 5 mile mark.

Yeah, this is a good place to spend a few hours,, and there's even a few places to cool off in the water if you're feeling adventurous. If you park in Eldorado somewhere, you can save $$ by walking in, or you can pay the forest fee and park at the trailhead. Have fun!!!
It can be, but it can also be crowded depending on what time of the year you go. It is very beautiful and i would suggest going.
Yes you can, but the rangers love dog off leash tickets.
Fowlers Trail, go to where it meets with a Country trail, head right and just through where the rocks rise up both sides of the trail. It is less than 2 miles easy walk.
Yes, near the entrance and several around the visitor center area.
There is 300-400 ft drop to South Boulder Creek between back of the park and Eldorado Springs so lots of small falls for nice views & pictures. The canyon is pretty amazing so highly recommend heading there for a hike.
Yes. 🔥 is allowed. Enjoy!
You have to buy admission pass. It's worth every penny!
Yes before the rangers booth
No. Not there. In Rocky Mountain National Park you will. We just drove up and paid $10 and went right on in.
There are some picnic areas with grills but with the ban on fires in Colorado I don't think you could cook out there
I agree. I'm not sure target practice is allowed-unless there is a designated location for it that I'm unfamiliar with.
Their open on holidays it looks like!
I'm not sure. If you cant get in with your vehicle you can walk in.
Allowed, only on leash though. Do not let them off leash anyway. Some of the trails are dangerous and a dog could be very seriously injured or killed.
Drive all the way to the end of the dirt road and there should be parking at the visitor center. Parking very limited elsewhere
This Colorado State Park does not allow overnight camping... gate is closed every evening
No. Eldorado canyon state park is widely known for rock climbing and mountain biking. You might try Devi's Punch Bowl for cliff jumping. That's few miles away from Aspen
Yes! There are paved paths and ramps onto sidewalks here. My friend is in a wheelchair and regularly comes to this park with me
I dont recommend gettinf a bus up there, its a dirt road for a good portion of the trip to the parking lot. Its pretty tight to get throigh in a large truck so i dont think a bus would be a good idea.
Depends on the trail but i would say to do Rattlesnake Gultch trail. It is not very long or hard. It is a hike most people from out of town do.
There are two lots 4 parking and fill up pretty quickly on the weekends by 10 a.m. . There is additional parking up the road in the park and another lot at the top that holds a few hundred more cars. If you go during the week parking is easy. You do have to pay to enter the park as it is a state park but an annual pass can be purchased for $70.
