All of these state parks on the Colorado River are wonderful. Some provide more shade than others. Riverfront trail is fully accessible for people of all abilities.

Day use at corn lake
Yes there's a ranger ststion at the entrance.
I'm sorry my first answer was for a different state park in the area. The only place we have been in the water at this park on 32 rd, aka corn lake, is in the river, it's shallow, fun, but still have to be carful
