We just got adopted by a beautiful sweet girl this week from the APF. We just love her.

Very kind when I left my cat for a procedure. I didn't want to leave him without a copy of something stating my ownership. I was extra that day, my cat has never been without me.. They understood and were very kind to me, they gave me paperwork to ease my mind and my boy was very well cared for during his procedure. He is happy and thriving in his environment.

After 15 years I lost my fur baby (AmStaff) AvaMaria. 🌸 I miss her every day. That being said I have a lot of love to give and a good home with a huge fenced in backyard ….so I decided to check the shelters for a dog that needed a home. I saw this beautiful photo of Titan! I immediately wanted to meet him! I set up an appointment. The staff was incredibly caring and I could tell they all had a soft spot in their heart for him. I was so lucky, so fortunate to be able to bring him home that day. I did change his name to Ezra and he has been by my side doing wonderfully ever since. I have two cats he was very sweet and caring when meeting them and became good buddies with one of them but my female cat still is a little cautious but every day there is progress lol. I just want to thank the good people who work so hard to give these animals love until they find their forever home. The work that you all do doesn’t go unnoticed. My two daughters came in from out of state due to a death in the family so they were able to meet their new brother. Below are just a few photos starting with our ride home from the shelter. We all just love him so very much❤️

When my Odessa passed away , I searched high and low for a cremation. It was icy cold outside and I did not want to disrespect her body any further.I received there name and number from a friend and I read the reviews at animal protective foundation and saw they did do cremation. They were very compassionate and understanding and so helpful at my loss .they met my boyfriend with a stretcher and placed her on it to bring her in . I appreciate the respect you gave my loyal girl! She deserved the honor. A week later I had her remains in a beautiful wooden box. I am grateful to have found you I am ever so grateful for your staff . I highly recommend others for your services.

Um 😐I worked AND volunteeredj at one of the Shelters someone said was a kill Shelter. That pisses me off! If you were not a employee that you can NOT say what is not true!! Please do not believe what you are reading on here because I know through experience that the Shelter in Menands is not a kill shelter! They will humanly put down very sick animals or behavior problems (aggression). The veterinarians work very very hard to save sick animals. They do everything for they can possibly do to adopt and save these animals. I won’t let someone who have never been part of this shelter bash them. I am not a employee any longer so I speak the truth. Ps those animals get spoiled rotten by employees and volunteers!
You'll have to give them a call.. They are doing business, what exactly that is and the length of time for due process is a question only they can answer
I volunteer here and yes you absolutely can!! We are in a major need of those things almost all the time
Try calling the APF if they can't help friends of animals can help you I hope you get help for the kitten
It all depends sometime they have I think months when a news station pays for the adoption fees you should check before you go if you don't want to pay adoption fees
Schenectady police if in the city. If not in the city, appropriate police authority, they have special officers to investigate. APF is not a police authority.
I believe you will have to fill out a paper and then after you get checked out you will be allowed to adopt your forever Friend.
Call the shelter, call your local animal control or police. Check out Steve Capporizo's Pet Connection Facebook page.
Get her to a vet. as soon as possible to find out if it's an infection or stones. She is your forever FRIEND so help her out as soon as you can.
Dont get animals if you cant keep them
Thank you so very much Renee.
You can email apf.org and they can probably help you out
You can make an Appointment and take her in to have it done and explain your situation. They should be able to help you out with this. You usually drop them off in the morning and pick up at around 4pm. Or so.
My daughter had volunteered in the past so I'm assuming they still do this. Unfortunately I don't know scheduling info.
Call Your animal control or police for assistance
APF as well
I'm pretty sure they do
Yes, look at the website. Low cost and discount, depending on your financial situation.
Have you called? A family member of mine only volunteers here but I got this question to my phone because I'm a "Google guide".

They provide veterinary care to animals that are found turned in or surrendered.
You will have to call them.
at the moment i don't believe so, we normally dont have more than one at a time. most of what we normally have are bunnies and guinea pigs
Google village vet . they were very good with my dog and reasonable with price
Contact your local animal shelter or animal control.
They will accept them but cant use them. They will redonate them.
Hi Celine, The Animal Protective Foundation is a no-kill shelter, which means we do not put time limits on the animals in our care or make euthanasia decisions based on availability of space. Humane euthanasia is used only when there are serious medical and/or behavioral concerns that severely impact the pet's quality of life and his or her ability to be safely adopted out. We are proud of our live release rate, which exceeds 90%. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our Animal Welfare and Care Manager or to our Shelter Director. You can reach them by calling us at (518) 374-3944 and dialing extension 106 or 112.
I'm not sure you would have to call them, sorry I don't have an answer for you.
18 yo
Hi Sherry, yes we are! You can see our open positions here: www.animalprotective.org/employment/
I believe you have to pay for one! Your best bet is to get a pet carrier from like Wal-Mart's!
I will take your kitten, I live on Chrisler Ave and live in Mont Pleasent Commons, a comunity of older people. I have cat his name is Chipmonk and is about nine years old ,non aggressive hopefully your kitten is female. I cannot come to you i do drive anymore and am recovering from surgery. I will give your kitten a very loving home.

Just because someone has had to return a pet to the shelter does not necessarily mean that they WANTED to. It is possible that maybe a family member developed an allergy or the new pet did not get along with existing pets. Please do not assume that someone who has had to return a pet is a "problem".
Typically you need to be 18 but it would be best to just give them a call and ask.
Can you take an allergy pill. It helps me keep my furbabies...
Call them to find out, I hope they do so you can find your forever friend, good luck.
Yes take him there and I believe they will take him, unless you want him, or put his looks and what ever markings he has in the paper under found.
You can call them to find out, as they may have one or guide you where
None, only a Big 2year old German Shepherd he is a Police Dog and highly trained.
Call the Shelter to find out if they can help you.
Do you have pictures?Try calling Animal Protection 53 Maple Ave Schenectady.
They have mostly pit bull breeds type dogs, cats, ferrets, guineapigs,i didnt see rabbits. I recommend getting a dog if u can. They do kill them if noone adopts them.
They do need fosters for kittens. That would be fun.
There is a great spay and neuter clinic there. Give them a call. Animal Protective Foundation.
