Albany no kill shelter

Um 😐I worked AND volunteeredj at one of the Shelters someone said was a kill Shelter. That pisses me off! If you were not a employee that you can NOT say what is not true!! Please do not believe what you are reading on here because I know through experience that the Shelter in Menands is not a kill shelter! They will humanly put down very sick animals or behavior problems (aggression). The veterinarians work very very hard to save sick animals. They do everything for they can possibly do to adopt and save these animals. I won’t let someone who have never been part of this shelter bash them. I am not a employee any longer so I speak the truth. Ps those animals get spoiled rotten by employees and volunteers!

A kill shelter should only make you want to adopt even more. I prefer to adopt from a kill shelter it's a no brainer they need it more

I do not know where people are getting their info from but facts are scotia and saratoga(past rhe fairgrounds) are a NO KILL. Also if you know your landlord dont allow pets ,DONT RISK IT! It ends up being heartbreaking for the human and animal and it could change the dogs behavior to the point he would be hard to adopt out! Mostly every agency and shelter now has a better procedure to lessen the chance of an animal having to be brought back after it was already adopted out. Landlord verification form to be filled out before the adoption is approved. If you cant afford your living arrangements dont get an animal !

The one in Scotia Glenville area I believe is a no Kill shelter.

The only no kill shelter is Ayers in Schoharie

I think this shelter is a no kill also.

Schenectady is a kill shelter but they fo try to adopt pets out first but I would take them to Adirondack save a stray they are a no kill shelter out pass Saratoga
