The Judge in Court usually asks for you to provide your license. If you don't have one, by the time you go to court, they can prevent you from getting one, as well as fine you. I haven't heard of anyone going to jail, but I can't say that won't happen... If it was me, I would get a license ASAP and bring it with you. Also make SURE you have the insurance and tag registration when you go to Court if the vehicle belongs to you. I am NOT an attorney... You could call one as well... Both Luke Lirot, and Kevin Haslet are both great firms!

Any Court house, police station or the dmv should be able to record it for you.

The entire process including the ceremony and paperwork can take between 15–20 minutes. If you are applying for the marriage license the same day, that could add an additional 10–15 minutes.
