We got our sweet Molly ( Harley) here. We came to look at a puppy we saw online and found Molly who wasn't on the website yet because she had been surrendered 2 days prior and was not fixed yet. All of the animals looked well cared for. The staff was very helpful and let us take her out to see how she took to us. They let us pick her up the day after her surgery. I've never been to a shelter before to get an animal, this was a better experience than I had hoped for. It broke my heart to see the dogs who had been surrendered. I wish I could take them all💓

TODAY we adopted "Barnum!" He was the timid tail between his legs dog who is not so TRUSTING of people and would freeze when on a leash..my husband and I took a chance and interacted with him out in the shelter yard...he was cowering at first BUT came to us in no time and even walked on the leash better than before! Well we FELL IN LOVE with the one that since April has been overlooked! In just the few hours he has been in his FUREVER HOME he has "flourished!" Tail is up and wagging and his "floppy" ears are up! I want to THANK workers Kayla, Tabitha, Michael and Courtney for their HELP AND HONESTY! Be rest assured when we bring him for a visit he WILL BE FATTENED UP and a LOVER BOY! We FEEL BLESSED! WELCOME HOME "BUDDY!"

They have a wonderful foster program for their kittens! You can choose what age/stage you would like to begin fostering the kittens, spay/neuter procedures are free along with vaccines, and you can choose to keep them or adopt them out! So many other animals and many other kittens as well during kitten season! Highly recommend if you are looking for a place to get animals!

They are an absolutely wonderful group of people. Very organized and truly care for the babies they take in. Today I dropped of 4 beautiful kittens, unfortunately I was unable to catch the mother to have her spayed. They did however spay another feral for me today. A few weeks ago they came and picked up an injured feral cat that was hit by a car. She had to have her leg amputated and they also spayed her. Today I finally let her back outside. She ran like the wind. I am so greatful effort and care you give to these feral cats many many thanks ....

Irresponsible dog owner that needs training. Call and report the incident immediately, before it's a child the dog decides to maul. I've seen it happen, it's not nice. The child lost part of an ear. Stay safe!
Unfortunately Katrina, those are the hours. The dogs running at night, I would guess have irresponsible owners that let them out at night to defecate in the neighbors yard. If possible try capturing them in a picture. You could Also ask Clay county if there is a safe trap that they use to trap dogs. I hope you get a solution. Good day! 🐕
Sadly no. Staff is excellent and the do everything they can to avoid euthenizing. They are often at capacity and begging for adopters. You should definately look there first for your new pet.
I am not sure about that ,you can call them
You can buy stuff called Cat Mace and try that on your lawn: https://bit.ly/38xCswF
Hi Audrey! Puppies under the age of 6 months have an adoption fee of $75 and dogs over the age of 6 months have a $10 adoption fee. All go home up to date on age appropriate shots, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
l
Please Google the number and call them directly
Try humane society
The best advice that I can give is to call them.
Only if they can verify there are no kill shelter, however if it needs much medical help there just isn't enough resources or money in the county you may look for a rescue organization for cats.
You can volunteer or foster. Its great! Animal Services | Clay County, FL https://www.claycountygov.com/departments/animal-services
They do stray surrenders at the shelter
Maverick Animal Hospital on Madison Ave in Orange Park is going to be your cheapest bet. As well as for all other veterinary care as well.
Call the law
Your best bet is to go there and look but they are closed on Sunday and Monday. Best wishes that you find your pet.
Set up a trap and catch it that way
I don't know if they fix feral cats. I know the Humane Society in Orange park does it for free though. You just have to call and schedule an appointment. Do not just leave the cats in a crate at their door. They've had an issue with that and if they catch you, you will have legal issues.
No.
The Clay county humane society on Filmore street in Orange Park does, they are usually booked out about 2 months for appointments though.
Contact animal control, stray dogs can become a nuisance. 🐶 Irresponsible humans= stray dogs.
Clay County Animal Control
Contact the police let them know you have a complaint of a noise nuisance they will come out assess the situation they owners can be fine for that
NO! In a disposable society, animals are not disposable. Call the shelter in the morning.
I’ve tried to call local vets but no one will take her. I just need to do something fast.
Not I. Good luck finding the owners..
You can certainly ask Clay county, but I don't think they offer that. You could ask if 1 of the fosters could look after him until you move.
I don't want time you had to pay an intake fee. And you cannot just drop them off because that's against the law.
Try to find him a home first. Some cats like being outside. I feed several cats where i live. I also put an out door cat house/ small dog house with a thermal self heating pad for them to go in when it's cold. If you have to bring him in, call ahead. I had to do that with a 6 week old kitten.
They are for adoption and you'd need to go look at their selection as it changes daily.
That would depend on the circumstances. Stray, owner surrender etc. I would highly suggest calling them during business hrs and inquiring. If you can no longer keep the feline I would also suggest first trying to rehome it yourself using Facebook groups and friends as the shelter stays pretty full and anyone that can avoid a shelter greatly helps the animals chances.
No fee for strays but if you are surrendering your pets there is. I believe its $30 i may be wrong though
Hello, you will need to fill out surrendering paperwork as well as a surrending fees. It is advised to bring any medical records along with any other documentation regarding your dog.
Before being adopted yes. Or are you asking about bringing in a pet just for surgery?
Hey Terri, the dogs always vary as well as the prices depending on what is going on (adoption events or specials). Best way to know if there's any specials going on is following the Facebook page.
