Beautiful campsite and hiking trails. The campsites are narrow, but include power and water access. The pool is awesome for hot days. We really enjoyed our stay!

One of the best hikes is up through the mountain 1.6 MI and then time in one of the three heated pools. A great place with complete hookup. And you just have to go around the corner to get cell phone access if you need to be connected.

I didn't stay here, but I drove through the campground and got water. It's a little spendy for my taste at $24 per night for half hookups (water+power), but the campground is pretty and pleasant. There are flush toilets and an RV dump station. There's a small pool but I believe it costs extra to use the pool. Day use of the picnic area right outside the campground entrance is $3. The sites are close together but not RV-parking-lot close. There are large shrubs throughout the campground...it's actually very lush considering it's in the desert. I saw many mid-size trailers and tent trailers. It looks like a nice place to take the kids, and it's right in the middle of Anza-Borrego desert state park with many hiking trails and some areas of historic interest. The road in is paved and navigable by any vehicle. It isn't my cup of tea -- I'm a boondocker -- but if I were looking for a nice campground with amenities I would definitely stay here.

This was one of the best finds to stumble across in the middle of the desert. We loved the guy at the general store at the beginning of road into the springs/camp grounds. He had lots of knowledge of the land and its history. Lots of cool crystals and books on the wild west and gem hunting along with supplies at his store. The springs are chlorinated unfortunately but still super relaxing and clean. This was a great spot to camp for the night. Had a camp table, firepit and clean bathrooms close.

Yes. It opened a few weeks ago. Call to make sure the pool levels are okay though. They had to close them down due to it not being safe when we were there and we saw people having sex in the hot pool.
Yes.

Pool use is $3 per person. That allows for use of the park grounds until 5pm. To stay later you must have a reservation\be camping overnight.
Per CDC, masks are required in buildings. Masks not required in spa pool.
Define near? Not at Auga Caliente or really very close. This county park is surrounded mostly by the ABDSP and other protected areas. (It is also complicated, lots of BLM and Forest Service in the region, all up and down S2, but much of that has special environmental protection...) Superstition is about 45 minutes away, and like an hour for Ocotillo Wells State Vehicular Recreation Area. I saw a family get kicked out because their kids wouldn't stop starting theirs. (They wanted to burn pallets too, they were gone on the second warning.) It is an expensive ticket in the ABDSP and they may make you remediate ($$$) any ground that is destroyed. Probably better just to go to Ocotillo Wells.
Yes, you pay. We came in for the day and we paid for the parking and the number of people that came in. I think it was $3 per car and per person, but I might be off on those numbers. Bring some cash.
There are picnic areas in the park
Yes and yes. The showers are coin operated. Also each site has a water faucet.
Yes, there are multiple restrooms (flush) and two different shower stations at the campground. I believe the showers are coin operated.
Julian is up the mountain. Look at Canebrake Canyon on National Weather Service for more accurate read. Shelter Valley might give you one.
It's about 100-150 feet up the hill from the current pool. There are pipes from the hot spring running into a large tank that feeds the pool.
Arroyo Tapiado Mud Caves are a blast. Bring water and a flashlight. Don't go if possable rain in the forecast. Lots of hiking and off roading. Hot spring for adults only.
I don't know if they are chlorinated but I think they are. You might want to call the ranger's office and ask them.
As little as 20$ per night
It's on the website. Pool closes between 5 and 6 on the weekends
Single room, about 400 sqf, has toilet and sink for washing dishes,. No cooking inside.
