New family go to for local camping. Dry campground make sure you bring plenty of water for hydration and for sanitation there are showers that use tokens. The water pipes are still under repair and some sight areas. Always call ahead of time to see if fires are allowed or not. Bring your own power source for an electronics. We love it.

So quiet midweek, clean bathrooms and showers. Relaxing under the oaktrees so refreshing. My fave little getaway close to home!

Day use and camping. Outside area is clean and spacious, token machine near showers (1 token for 2 min). Bathrooms and showers are not clean. If you have a distinguished Veteran pass it is free. Nice ADA sites. Hiking trails, dogs are not allowed. Added photos. I lowered my initial rating due to no enforcement of noise rule. There was a huge group of multiple camps that partied all night, very loud and no one (rangers or either of the camp hosts) told them to quiet down. I left a day early due to this.

Really impressed with this place after staying here for the night with my wife since one day and night in Julian is plenty then packed up our stuff and came here for the second night from Temecula! It's like who needs to travel 7 hours to Yosemite all the time, this is a good substitute, there's lots of space, lots of trees, hiking, some wildlife, it's near by, it's clean, it's cold and fresh and NOT crowded, also very inexpensive so don't be on the fence but jump the fences here while you follow the deer or look for some kindling for your fire, there's also lots of broken dead wood πͺ everywhere so burn it up!

Yes, however there are several guidelines. The following is directly from the website: Dogs are allowed on paved roads in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park. During the day, keep your dog on a leash that is no longer than six feet in length and must be under physical control. If you leave your dog in a vehicle, remember that it may get too hot, even with the windows open. Please do not take your dog (unless it is an ADA service animal) into buildings or trails, unless itβs designated. Please keep your dog calm and quiet. Vicious or unusually noisy dogs will not be allowed in the park. At night, please keep your dog in your tent or vehicle to prevent conflicts between your dog and other dogs or passing campers.
There are no sites with electric or water hookups. Most sites have water spickets, but no sites have any electrical hookups.
Yes they are
Bring your own wood. Much like people bring their own snacks the movies. Do not scavenge firewood from the surrounding forest. Rangers frown upon it.
You can pay and reserve online.
Yes park has bathrooms and token showers. Tokens can be purchased at entrance to the shower. Machine takes. $1.00 bills. 2 tokens for $1.00. One token is 2 minutes
I believe $30 a night. $20 for an extra car.
We also had three on site, paid extra. Or I thank for site 72,73.
When we visited in mid May, there was a group that was awake until 1am, even if not too loud. Not sure if they were below the threshold or noise restrictions are not enforced. But overall, I would not consider it a loud campsite.
Less than 2 hours.
I summited the peak in early October and had no issues, however, there was some construction equipment near the top
Day parking was 5$,nice picnic area.camping was 23$/ 2persons.showers works with 25 cent coins, clean and warm
Not at the campground but a few miles up the road there is at the lake.
If you have a state park pass you don't have to pay for day use.
This is a state campground, not a residential community.
5,000 feet
Reserve California is wonderful resource for pricing and availability on sites or cabins.
You can pay with card when a ranger is there. If they are not there, you take an envelope and put the cash in it and put it in the drop box. The rangers do daily patrols of the campground and inspect the drop box so you will need to pay.
It is one of 1-6 sites should be able to book that by cabin name
They should be open. Just camped there from the 19th to the 21st. If no one is in the ranger station you can fill out an envelope with your site and fee that you drop into the station.
Yes but only in some sites.
Pets are allowed.
Is tent camping allowed and what is the fee per night for a person and their pet.
