You can pay with card when a ranger is there. If they are not there, you take an envelope and put the cash in it and put it in the drop box. The rangers do daily patrols of the campground and inspect the drop box so you will need to pay.

I think so, but I would call to double check. A ranger isn't always there to process a fee, so you have to leave it in an envelope, honor system style.
Yes, they used to take check but someone messed that up. I know Palomar takes check.
