This is a pretty incredible place. Super family friendly, so many activities for the littles and adults. Joshua was knowledgeable and super friendly, very up front without wasting our time. I will be bringing my family up here again and again.

I was a guest. I drove around wen I got there. Lots of families. Kids playing tennis, basketball, riding bikes. Requires secure entrance. Has catch snd release fishing( bring your poles) lots of camping sites for tent RVs and cabins. Different types to choose. Remember this is a resort and requires membership.

Highly recommend having your own transportation.
It's real, like said before it is a time share presentation but with more usage not just a week per year. We been members for 20 plus years. Now this can be a little high pressure sale and if you have difficulties to say no, you may walk out with a new member ship. If you have young kids KQ is a great place.
Good cell phone coverage if you have your own Hotspot, we were able to sream netflix etc
I do stay in the tree line but I would like to do some nice astronomy with my equipment next to the RV . Can't do astrophotography with trees all around in the west side.

You cannot stay here by the night you must have a membership to camp here. Once you get your membership you can stay up to 2 weeks. Then out for one week and you can come back for another 2 weeks! You can make an appointment for a membership. D I wn the road at Thousand Trails you can camp overnight they are open to the public, KQ Ranch Resort is not! Also Dos Picos is too and they are ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!
Don't give up, confirm your reservations, people at entrance have to follow the parks rules , it's a beautiful place here and would like to see you here, , only guests or members can come here , which makes it a safe environment, ps, next time don't forget to visit the kitchen, great food.
If you arrive after 5pm access is available with a gate code issued at Check in. If you are going to be late to check in then call before 5pm and they will inform you how to get in

They have visitors parking near sites and outside of main gate. Remember that this is a private member park

The only things I noticed to able to use was the kids playgrounds. Otherwise everything is open and its alot of fun
The rentals (cabins and trailers) have satellite TV. Other than that tv is not provided
No wood fires. Propane fire pits allowed..
Some are newer than others. Depends where you stay. Just make sure you bring your own linens and blankets. Bath towels also. Just don't go outside after midnight. There is a Werewolf that stalks the grounds and eats people. Ahh maybe not that. Did see cougar paw prints though plus lots of deer at night.
The main roads are paved, however a significant portion of the roads are gravel. There are some sidewalks that they can use, as long as they are safe. Several kids do use their scooters.
It's a membership community and they don't have very many 50amp spots, u have to push for it when requesting lol I remember running the air-conditioner But not the microwaveable vaccume. One or the other lol
You can come as a guest of a member or on your own personal private tour. You must call the office and book ahead!

From kq ranch julian is only 4 miles away we got snow 1 day and it was 10 inches been a slow yr for are snow

There is a place down the road for horseback riding if you have horse we do have coral s for them to stay in and yes you can ride them in the park you just have to clean up after them
