Pool use is $3 per person. That allows for use of the park grounds until 5pm. To stay later you must have a reservation\be camping overnight.

There is day use, I think it's $3/ car and if you want to use the pools I think $3/ person
Yes I believe you can go just for the day. I met some people there who did that. There is a pool as well.
