Great place! close by! Nice to get out in nature and see the vast amounts of birds and other animals like bunnies at dusk and gators in the wild! Great place to excercise too up & down and all around the man made mountain! Beautiful views from the top especially at sunset!

Enjoyed a hike and picnic here with friends. The hill provided a great workout. Great views.

When I visit the Sarasota area I love to go for hikes here and enjoy bird watching. They have nice boardwalks and gazebos and Audubon experts to help you see and identify birds. I've had first sighting of birds here and ever saw river otters here. Many nature groups and Audobon groups like to go here for outings but you can also go on your own and enjoy!!

The best part of this facility is the gardens next to the building and the boardwalk across the street. We enjoyed seeing the many local birds that make this place home.

The red tide does not affect terrestrial life at this time. It is only an aquatic toxin. Please check out Mote laboratory's website for more about red tide and the algae that produces the toxin and it's effects.
