Great experience. Sad but they do the best they can and staff is extremely personable. A1tleast from who 1i was in contact with. Take a map with you if you never been so you can see the best way for you to start.

Just the absolute best park ever. They upgraded the food barn to now have salads, wraps, and sandwiches (PB and J for kids too). Ice cream, drinks, and various snacks n candy as they have always had. Quick visits are nice and you can see the whole park in about an hour, or really long visits to just touch base with all the buildings and really take in the beauty and viewing of the animals. Bring quarters to feed the fish 😁

Arrived at the opening of the day. The staff at the park were friendly and knowledgeable. Signs throughout the park with information about the animals, plants and trees. Easy walking. Good place to visit with all ages. A very enjoyable time.

Had a great time and it wasn't too crowded on a Saturday afternoon. Beautiful place with a neat selection of wildlife. The albino deer and golden eagle were both so cool to see and my favorite was definitely all of the wild cats. Neat to see all the chipmunks, squirrels and birds that also chose the park as their place to live.

Not that I saw, people just walk whichever direction they please
They fly south or are cared if they are not able.
Yes! They have separate men's and women's bathrooms and a separate family bathroom with a changing station. I actually had to use the family restroom with my 5 year old.
About 2 hours to see it all.
The Maine Wildlife Park does not accept credit or debit card payment for admission. Cash and checks only please. An ATM is available at the admissions gatehouse. Sadly, we can't allow dogs or other pets inside the park. Please do not plan to leave your pets in your vehicle. Our parking lot has very little shade. No the one that was on TV is Avain haven in freedom Maine
It's a "wildlife" park, not a bike park.
Yes but like alot of the animals there, you have the best chance of seeing them during feeding time.
As I recall there were a few benches like near the bears but not in every animal area. There is a lot of walking. When you first enter there are several picnic tables spread widely apart. Nice for a private picnic. But don't recall there being benches near the large deer enclosure Nor near the moose large cats or birds. Best to bring a small portable stool if you are an adult that needs to rest your legs or a wagon to pull if the kids need a place to sit.
I didn't hear them call it by name but they have a baby moose in a separate enclosure and two fawns that they bottle feed at certain times of the day and you can watch.... But i warn you they drink the large bottles extremely fast !
Self guided tour, you are given a map and all animals are very well marked
Yes, they did when I was there last Fall, call to be sure as they rehab and turn loose some animals
Yes there is
They are open now😊
I was here about a month ago - no need to reserve, you can walk up to the booth and purchase a ticket, and you're good to go.
Yes they are open this year by appointment online.then you can go.
Mostly because they are injured animals to be put back in the wild, so they don't have need much room. Other than that I don't know.
I was curious I have a 3 year old grandson I would love to bring my wagon (Radio Flyer 2 seater Would this be feasible? In your opinion
I have been there four times and have never seen dogs. I just checked their website and dogs cannot enter the park, but may be on leash in the parking lot.
Inland fisheries and Wildlife employment opportunities are typically posted here. https://www.maine.gov/ifw/about/employment-opportunities.html But to get the inside scoop you might want to spend some time volunteering. Check this link for the volunteer https://www.maine.gov/ifw/wildlife-park/about/volunteer.html Good Luck!

Sorry the Maine State pass doesn't work there. Here is the link to their website for hours and fees https://www.maine.gov/ifw/wildlife-park/hours-fees.html Here's another link about the Maine Annual pass. See note at bottom about places that it does not gain you access. The Wildlife Park is one of them.

I honestly dont know. Ive been back in Sanford for awhile. ;)
Probably not a good idea until the weather warms up a bit and the mud dries up. Some of the trails could be bad. Also, if you are expecting a zoo-like facility, you will be disappointed. The displays are limited, and in some cases the animals are not in very good shape.
Was he carrying a box of frosted flakes?
Bears don't hibernate all winter. They will go out in search of food if they get hungry. They do sleep a lot more during the winter months to help them conserve their body heat.
The cougar cubs were rescued from Montana by rangers about ten days after their mother was killed by a hunter.
It was like 7.50 for adult . My family was about 22.50 for 3.
They have wheelchairs and strollers for rent when u first enter
Depends on your age kids under 3 arr free adults are $7.50 and there is a senior discount.
We brought our own food. If you're just looking for very light snacks, then yes, there is a snack shop. It's very easy to get back to your car so don't feel you have to carry everything with you all day.
No parking is free. I recommend going a little early as the line tends to build quickly down the road.
Dawn I googled it and according to the event calendar the Attean Pow Wow is scheduled for August the 11th and 12th.

Small fee. It was $26 for two adults, two children. Definitely worth it.
