Used to come here as a kid 50 years ago and it has upgraded for the better! Love the new bridge entrance and ticket prices are great for what you get. All the animals and all the rides are included. Plenty of grass and shady spots to relax and eat a picnic lunch. The bread basket offers sandwiches, pizza burgers and drinks. They still have the old maze and crooked house. Danny the dinosaur will take you around the park too! If you like playgrounds there are plenty around the park for all ages! The huge wooden playground will keep your little animals entertained for hours! Definitely recommend for families! Thursdays, once a month they have senior walking too!

Being that this was the first time for my family were were super excited to see how beautiful and spacious this place was in comparison to The Sacramento Zoo. Upsides : any kid 5 and under would literally have a blast here and run out so much energy. The rides are free and after paying to get in any parent can appreciate not having to pony up more money for the rides. And there is literally so much room to run and play that it’s almost impossible to not have fun especially with the huge 3 story playground located in the center. Downsides : there are literally less animals than the Sacramento zoo and I promise I didn’t even know that was possible and to still list the place as a “Zoo”. Out of the 13 animals located on the left , there were 7 missing or not in the exhibit . I brought my 7 and 17 year old and realized 20 min into this trip that it was going to be very short . With the lack of animals actually out in the public and the rides going from adventure to boring in a matter of seconds at the ages I had with me …..it was an hour and a half at 70.00 for a family of 4 + parking making it 80.00. I could have went to the mall with them and got them something 40.00 each and the experience on our vacation would have been slightly better because we have something to show for and would have been walking for 2 times longer . All in all : decent place for kids 5-9 solely based on the huge playground. (Not worth the money just to play in a park. ) Not a place for a first date or for anyone single or without children. There’s not enough for adults to do period. Totally not a place for a teenager unless there working there. But it’s cute and perfect for babies.

End of review is options/experience for kids I had a a wonderful time, my day off during the week is the best time to go it was peaceful and full of family fun, the animals were all very well taken care of and the staff were all so friendly, there was one staff encounter I had that wasn’t the greatest she had ignored me after acknowledging me standing next to her.. for almost 1-3 minutes (take note the zoo was not packed busy) so I stood waiting for her to finish her conversation with two gentleman near the exit of the zoo.. and finally got her to ask me if I needed help and showed me which was the Jaguar habitat was I would have expected her to be more friendly i know times are hard but it doesn’t help to project attitude onto others.. so avoid (crystal) she wasn’t very friendly but all the other staff were absolutely amazing and super friendly, so my experience overall was 80% amazing aside from the one bad apple 1. Kids can pet and groom goats with parents even feed so amazing and the animals are all super friendly 2. There are fun playgrounds and climbing structures for the kids 3. Multiple Safe rides for young kids I recommend bringing water! And hats avoid sunburns

Amazing place for kids. Fees - 17$ for age more than 2 years old. Parking - 10$ My daughter liked it here very much. There are so many rides for all ages (few are closed). You can easily spend 5-6 hours here. Animals are here but it's not that big zoo so not a lot of animals. But it's good picnic spot as well. Must visit this place if you have kids.

No. There is a small petting zoo where kibble can be purchased for .25 to feed the goats, sheep, mini ponies. The re are mo feedins events for the exotic animals
Yes! We do everytime. They won't let you bring a big ice chest of food but you can bring in a sack lunch
Yes you can. Highly recommend to do so as the food there is so so and pretty pricy.
I would say 4 - 10. Younger, they might not enjoy it much because, depending on what day/time you go, it could be crowded and you will have to wait in lines. Older, they might get bored.
The place is exclusively for kids. A lot of rides & zoo with exotic animals. There is no water activity or water park.
General Admission (ages 2 – 59) $14.25 General Admission for 60 years+ $11.25 General Admission (ages 0 – 1) FREE Group Admission (14 or more = group) $9.25*
Yes you can avoid lines by booking tickets online. But going there on weekdays late afternoon will not have a long queue and your family will have the park to themselves.
I don't think so but if you have AAA membership you'll get some type of discount but it doesn't hurt to ask.
Agreed, all the children enjoy the animals.
Yes, they have lockers right inside the front gate. I'm fairly certain there's some large enough for a car seat, but you could always call ahead
Not an event that the park has listed.
Ya don’t.
May-september they have a once a month "senior safari". People over 50 years old park for free and enter for free between 9 am and 10 am on the last Thursday of the month.
Parking is $10. Admission is $14.25. Reciprocal benefits gets you half off. SJ Tech museum has Reciprocal benefits.
Yes, they have a petting zoo, but we didn't get to see it, so I don't know what kind of animals they have
Yes. They have single and double wide strollers for rent at the gift shop just inside the gate.
The rides are open and most rides has height requirement of 36 inches
There is a parking lot off Story Road. From there you walk across the bridge to the entrance.
Just zoo is open, no rides, no petting. Its a one way Walk in the zoo. They ensure social distancing. You have to reserve online before you visit
Happy hallow is usually closed on Monday
I spoke with someone who said they were 'just a volunteer' so I'm sure there is a program of some sort.
There are plenty of hotels within a few miles of the park, but none really in walking distance.
Yes they do, they have a daily show schedule on their website at happyhollow.org/explore/entertainment/
Age over 2 to 59-($14.25) 60+ ($11.25) Babies are free Groups of 14 or more people- ($9.25)
About 15 dollars for an adult.
It's a secure park with only really one way in and out. If you drop off at the ticketbooth and agree to meet back up at the same location you'd be fine. If you tell your teens to meet up across the bridge, they're away from attendants of the park but easier to pickup and drop off.
Yes
No. One fee gets you into the park and able to view, ride, and participate in all the activities. There's a food court and store that require individual purchases, but otherwise, everything's included (some rides may limit based on height).
No. Small collection but if you a young kid there is lot to keep them busy

yes you can. it's just one of the many perks and bonuses that you get to enjoy with your AAA membership! awesome!!
For children 1 to about 10 it's worth the price. Should you go, bring some quarters to feed the goats. It's a lot of fun for small kids, pun fully intended =)

When it's raining many of the animals have access to their night houses, allowing the animals to choose if they want to be out in the rain or not.
Also went during the week, lines where not long was able to ride multiple times which was a plus.

Yes I see this all the time
Parking is around 7$, I think. Entry tickets are 15$ per person without AAA insurance. Lunch would cost less than 20$. No booth games. So for a couple, the cost would be around 60$

I beleivr service animals yes, though i have never seen any pets in the garden or amusement park portions. The park and zoo are all open and interconnected once you enter the grounds, no checkpoints or anyone separate the portions.
It is closed on Mondays. But it is open the rest of the week from 10am to 5pm. In summer they change a little and are more widespread
Daily parking for $10. Annual Parking Pass for $80. Senior annual parking pass for $30.
I haven't seen a sign that they have an open door policy but it wouldn't hurt to call and ask
I do not remember well but it is 20 or 25 but this is the time you can have your children or the children that you bring, and you pay for the games for the games that you pay for the entrance there.
To clear up she ment if we can go and come as we please once we pay to get in. Like gilroy gardens. U get a stamp if u want when your leaving so you may come back the same day.
