I am very lucky to have TSgt Gonzales as my recruiter, she is honestly very kind, understanding, and patient to work with. I feel lucky to have her as a recruiter because she really prepared me for BMT, I was one of the only ones who knew how to do facing movements and always remembering my reporting statement.

My little girl is no longer little she has joined the Air Force. I am so proud of her. I can't thank the Air Force recruiting staff, here on McKee road for doing such a great job and helping her find her way to a great new career. I really appreciate it as I am an Army Veteran myself. The recruiting staff here 'took great care of my daughter by helping her find her way to her new career. She shows humble sacrifice, by leaving her two kids and her husband (who also was just honorably discharged discharged from the Marine Corps) at home. The staff here patiently helped her navigate the complex intake process, while also helping her find what was best for her and her family for future endeavors. I cannot thank the Air Force recruiting staff here more for helping her make the right choice and find the right career. I'm so proud of my daughter following who has followed her husband and I in service to our Country Thank you to the staff here taking good care of my little daughter. Who is no longer little!

TSgt Gonzales was the most amazing recruiter anyone could ask for. She really dedicated her all to helping everyone who was trying to join the Air Force. She went the extra mile to ensure that I could qualify to join, by checking on me on a daily basis, using multiple resources to assist me. Her mentorship was an amazing look into the Air Force and the family atmosphere it creates. She really inspired me to always be there for others throughout my career, and she showed me what I can do for my fellow Airman. She is truly an inspiration to me and my future career. She is your first door to greater things in the Airforce so don't be scared to knock. Greater opportunities are ahead of you!

TSgt Gonzales was helpful, kind and patient with my recruiting process! I’m shipping out soon and got a job I really wanted just 4 months after our initial meet. She also helped us prepare for BMT by going over memory work with us, and meeting with us to practice for PT. Thanks so much for shaping us into great future airmen! 😄

Questions & Answers

I'd like to bring my 21-year-old son in to speak to a recruiter about the benefits of enlistment/service. I enlisted out of high school. The service gave me the opportunity to figure out who I was, and where I wanted to go. I want the same for him.

Does anyone know if this location deals with people wanting to join the Air Force Reserves?

It's an active duty recruiting location.

Does anyone know when the recruiter will be back from her 30 day vacation??

2 weeks I believe.

I went to this location and it was closed so I texted the phone number that was on the door and I've been waiting for them to reply. What should I do?

There's only one recruiter at that location and she's using her 30 days paid vacation at the moment. Continue following up with her so you don't get accidentally skipped over when she does start back at work.

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Kathleen Nelson, R.N. and I do tattoo removal. Are potential recruits required to remove their tattoos prior to enlisting?

It's not a requirement to remove tattoos unless the applicant has them in a disqualifying location (e.g. face, neck, or hands other than a wedding band) or if its discriminatory in nature.
