I actually really like this park for a lot of reasons-it occupies a ton of space and helps break up the city, it's got tons of nice shade trees, nice paths, good cycling trails...and an enormous indigenous population of feral humans. As far as that goes-it's a hell of a lot nicer than most other cities similarly invested parks. There aren't so many people packed together that the park has disappeared(I'm looking at you, Santa Cruz🖕) and it's not disgusting, though it was frightening not too long ago. Overall it's still a decent park, and the ferals are alright. Be kind to the natives when you visit. Bring their natural diet(booze, drugs, cigarettes, beef jerky, pizza, candy) to have a lovely experience feeding the wildlife.

It has a good trail for walking and biking. Unfortunately, there were lot of homeless people living there. San Jose needs to take care of its people, find way to rehabilitate them.

I come on my bike here to swim and tan. It's private property so I come alone. Very peaceful and beautiful.

It’s a very quiet, less crowded park nearby downtown. Park is not very well maintained but it looks natural, like a authentic village with lots of greenery, trees, trails for bike & walk. The chirping of birds is the best meditation here. If you need peace & break from city life, that’s the place. Parking is free but limited. Entry is free. Play area for kids is also free.

Yes, but on the south end until you get North of skyport drive at the airport, you have to keep swapping sides to continue. Bring a sense of adventure.
Call and make sure friend went there and they were closed on a tuesday
They usually have someone at the park durring the day to watch over it, you can ask them if people usually park there overnight and see what they have to say.
There are no pits or grills at the park and it's in a no burn zone in the city so you're not allowed to bring your own charcoal or gas grill either. Still a wonderful place for a picnic and worth bringing your own BBQ from home.
You absolutely can. There is the children's museum at the park and other kid friendly stuff.
You might find trout or salmon on occasion, but you shouldn't eat anything you could possibly catch. It's not really sporting to fish there as the water is shallow in most places.
I have acuestion will be the fire work there?
