I was lucky to get an appointment at this office the day before traveling. My appointment was this morning and after providing all documentation, I was able to go back 3 hours later to pick up my passport. I have never experienced a government office that was full of happy and kind people. Thank you!

What great people here. I sent in my passport two weeks ago then had a last minute opportunity to go on a European trip. With my trip just a week out, I secured an appointment in Detroit. The appointment was a day before my travel/I also live in Boston, so the Detroit trip was a major stress. This passport office in NH called me (I've never contacted them prior!), and noticed my trip was coming up and they expedited my passport and I got it just two days after this call! I'm so relieved and also so appreciative they went out of their way to rush my passport for my trip. Thank you.

I came here last October because there were no other appointments available for an expedited passport anywhere in the tri state area. It was NH or Michigan, and I decided on NH. It took about 2 hours to get the passport once I presented all my documents, and everyone that worked there — from the security guards to the sweet woman at the window — were absolutely amazing. I got to explore a bit of NH & Maine, and when I came back everything was set and ready to go. They answered all my questions and concerns, gave me some cool places to see, and wished me a safe trip. My niece also went there to get her passport, and they were equally as helpful and kind to her as well. Overall, great experience for an otherwise stressful situation.

I am honestly appalled at how incompetent this office is. I was promised an expedited passport (same day), and they reassured me that it would only take about two hours. I figured it was too good to be true and I was correct, because I still haven’t received my passport and nor do I expect to at this point. But it seems like compared to the other reviews, my experience was slightly better because at least they didn’t lose my birth certificate. Honestly, save yourself the stress and time by just going to Boston or literally any other location. It’s hard to tell if these people are purposefully obtuse or simply inept.

Hi. Did you get your passport on time? I’m also waiting for mine and I travel next week.
Yes, be appointment, or as a walk-in customer. Anyone waiting ahead of you who has an actual appointment, will take priority.
Yes. Walk-in's are welcome!
Make an appointment at the NH Passport port center for tomorrow. They will fix it. There is an 800 telephone number to call. Otherwise walk in appointments are from 1130 to 1230 in NH.
Yes, go to your nearest center and they will assist you. Call and make an appointment.
You will find all of your answers at www.travel.state.gov
They will not take you without an appt. I live in Staten Island and had to drive to New Hampshire for my appt. Tell them it is an emergency.
No
The ONLY way is to call your representative(senators). I had an issue and they solved it in a day. I even sent letters to the NH center.
You can go to travel.state.gov and click on the passports link. You can check status of your application there, or you can call the National Passport Information Center at the 800 number on the website.
If you don’t have a government issued ID or driver or not you understand that a birth certificate is required When you say you don’t have a “NH REAL ID license” do you mean you have one somewhere else?
Yes. You have to come into the ports mouth office and they can Fed Ex.
So far, yes.
At the Portsmouth, NH location, the following forms of payment are accepted: EXACT cash, personal checks, US based money orders, and Credit/Debit cards
Call the free number, there isn't an online service to renew. You can fill out the application online, and still have to mail it in with all application steps
Great people work here. Very helpful and nice 👍
For USA Citizens $100 For Immigrants by Green-card $1000
$60.00 and 18.32 for postage
I think you can if its less than 10 years old
You now have what is called "dual citizenship" you can still travel on your Nigerian passport you just won't be allotted the benefits of the US citizenship this time around. You will have to enter as a non citizen as you will not be utilizing your new US citizenship (using the US passport). Travel is still possible though.
I was warned that they weren't. If you were at all concerned I would try to go for the expedited service.
You need an appointment, a flight confirmation within the 2 weeks og booking appointment. But the appt. Is given within the 5 days of flight. You will also need the passport pictures, new application filled out for children and/or renewal application for adult. Along with that, proper documentation, unexpired ID, old passports, birth certificates for children and also be able to pay on the spot! If you look on the website all of the details are listed.
No you need an appointment
No
You should receive a letter if applied at a post office. U need to call the national passport agency , give them your reference number, they will help you more and tell you what documents you need, ( birth certificate, , social security card , driver license etc ) And you have an appointment at an agency you should receive an email, with all the documents you need to bring for your appointment,
You have to have an appointment if you are traveling within 20 days.
You can call them directly and you will get someone to speak to
yes if there is no damage to it.
If I want to make an appointment at that exact passport agency, which number should I call
If there's no delays, you're looking at up to 18 weeks for routine and 12 weeks expedite
No, only life/death or appointments
If I were you, I would make an appointment at your nearest acceptance facility, as long as the appointment can be within 4 days. It would not make the timeframe at this point even if you overnighted it to NPC.
Weird thanks for the info
Last time that happened to me ..it ment that i didn't fill up all the questions. Also send your expired passport and the new pictures you're going to use.,, i hope this helps
I did the same making an appointment online. Note that appointments can drop in at anytime. I ended up booking mine at 5 am. When I went there were some people standing in line for walk in appointments. It's unclear how successful they were but I think some of them got in. Someone else would have to cancel or not show for that to work.
The 800 number is just the customer service center. They have no access to the application to tell me why they've had mine over 6 weeks with no information when I paid for expedited. I need to talk to someone who can help me. I'm devastated right now.
They can do it on site but you must be traveling within 3 days of the appointment and appointments are extremely difficult to get due to very high demand. You can also only book 10 days out at a time. If you can send it in and wait the 18 months great, if not you'll need some luck to get an appointment.
You should call and make an emergency appointment. Unfortunately the safest location for you is New Hampshire because they already have your documents. We did that and got our passport in a couple of hours.
They won't let you in without an appointment
4-6 weeks they are saying .. but if u go to a passport center on emergency appt, then same day.. You will need proof of emergency as well as proof of citizenship if not already one. If so then proof of i.d.
If you have travel plans I suggest scheduling an appointment because everything is backed up because of Covid. I sent mine back in May and I had to schedule an appointment to get it in person because we had travel plans.
At the moment it's very difficult to get a hold of the passport agencies but you can always try
I applied 2months ago paid to have both mines and my grandson passport I also paid extra for it to come received mines but not hi have called the last past 3weeks online 24/7about his no response. The said part is I leave Saturday 31and have to leave him behind because I can't get answers
I've been working on the roof and it is appointment only plus all of New England is using this passport center good luck
I asked about this when I called and they told me it's because they're so backed up with callers. Unfortunately the only solution is to keep calling and hope you get in. I found success calling as soon as they opened, which is at 8 am EST. Hope your situation gets resolved!
Unfortunately, sounds like they don't want you to leave the country my friend.
Nope, just keep trying the website and hope
Not at this time
No
I wouldn't recommend it, they are requiring appointments, but I have seen them take the occasional walk-in. I'd say you'd probably have to get lucky to do a walk-in right now, but if you have no other options - its worth a shot.
They make you switch your flight sometimes. They made me switch my flight to a later time and I went the same day I was flying.
If I were you I would renew it now just to be on the safe side. Because the way the system is looking it will take a while.
You don't take pictures. You should bring 2 passport photographs taken in cvs or walgreens. Fyi, This and other locations will see you by appointment only.
No it is by appointment
If you received a letter in regards to the Place of Birth being different on your actual BC then it means something different was written on the application even by a wrong letter, this includes if you used whiteout and/or tried to fix an error on the same application. Another thing to know is that the renewal application although is faster to get into process it will go through the same process as doing a new passport such as name check, authenticity and background check, etc... Another thing to know is that as of right now the NPC is not issuing any applications nor taking money for expedited fee, the only passports being issued is for Life/Death cases. Another thing is the number on the letter are for the National Passport Information Center (NPIC) which their only job is to direct a message directly to the National Passport Center (NPC) for further assistance, NPIC does not have access to your information or status on system, so do not believe if they speak otherwise.
NPC, 207 INTERNATIONAL DR., PORTSMOUTH, NH
By mail
did you have any luck with this? I need my passport within 2 weeks and willing to drive up to get it if they allow it
I sent the application for my first passport in an email in melboune fl and it was sent to new hampshire from march and nothing approved or arrives and the mother in law got renewal in april and already She arrived but the renovation was sent to her in Colorado. It seems that the Colorado offices are working more quickly and efficiently ... anyway, I hope that mine will soon arrive, the truth ...
Yes that is what I used as well
Can my husband get the passport on the same day he goes to the office. He didn’t realize that his passport expired this year and we are flying out next Wednesday
Yes
Go to travel.state.gov and find the link to check the status of your application. You can do that online or by calling The National Passport Information Center, a call center that can assist you. The phone number is on the website.
Yes, The Passport Center will be open the day after unless the President declares it a day off, which has never been done at Thanksgiving before
You can order one from this location and it can take several weeks for it to get to you but they don't print them at this location. Also if you have a book you can do a ds-82 renewal application submit the book with the application in order to order the card
If you could get here between 5pm and 8pm this evening 09/27/19 you can walk in without an appointment. NPC is doing a passport awareness event and they're offering the extra hours for any type of service.
Sorry, but no. You would have to visit your Embassy to get your passport renewed.
Maybe. It's a lot easier if you have ID, though. Otherwise you have to bring affidavits from family members or people who have known you for a long time. They have to be notarized and include a copy of their ID, front and back. You also need to provide other means of ID, newspaper articles naming you, copies of school yearbook pages showing the yearbook and the photo page with your picture, things with your picture on them that clearly identify you. Much easier to get a State issued ID.
No. If your local go to Passport Center at 207 International Drive Ports mouth NH. They can take care of you. Hours are 700 am to 3 pm.
No. You'll get it back in your old passport. You'll have to contact the Chinese Embassy in order to find out what they need you to do. Some countries will let you bring the old passport and valid visa along with your new passport, some will give you a new visa.
Only thing is call passport number or take a trip to New,Hampshire. Make an appointment in NH.
Are you guys open for president day?
Yes. Make an appointment on line for the New Hampshire Passport Center.
On NPC we are on the highest season of the Passport Center, that said if you paid for expedited fee ($60) and express mail ($16.48) you're likely looking at 1 to 2 weeks in a half give or take. Main reason for the long issuing time is that we are behind multiple days on only matching documents to files and then comes the approx. 2 days behind of doing a review to the file. Note. This approximately start cou ting down the moment we receive the envelope.
Call and make an appointment at new Hampshire passport center. They will take care of you.
In the U.S.A., passports are not forwarded. They are returned to the Agency for remailing, if possible. Your best bet is to go to travel.state.gov and call the information number listed there. They can help you get the new address on the application and get the passport to the right place.
NPC does not send receipt over mail but they can if it is requested.
You can apply for new card but they get mailed out from another location.
Yes. If you don't remember your old passport info, just check the yes box (have you ever had a passport) and lost. Don't write anything else. You can find the form DS-11 and instructions on travel.state.gov
You need to bring your photo. Go to rite Aid, Wal mart. No eye glasses in photo.
The country your going too most likely has a 6 month validity requirement in order to get your entry visa
This literally just happened to me. Now I can’t sleep waiting on my passport to come and we fly in 2 days. They haven’t even mailed it. I’m so sick of them.
She can track it, if it's in process already. Travel.state.gov click on Passports then look for the status link. She can also call The National Passport Information Center, number is on the same website. They can help her as well
Go to passport office directly. I work there. You do not need an appointment. They take walk ins. We open at 800 am. Bring new pictures old passport and drivers license.
There is a Passport Agency in Miami
Go to travel.state.gov
Appointment only
Hi. You should be able to make an appointment, regardless of your travel date.
You should visit the office in person. Do not mail in your documents.
No one answer me
It's best you go to the passport office directly if you really want to get things done calling on the phone won't help...they requested that I send a form which I did twice and till date There's no response as to maybe it was received or not I had to go to a passport office to sort my issues out
Yes
Yes
That depends on a few different things. The Portsmouth, NH (National) Passport Center is not the only processing facility in the U.S.., so it depends on where your renewal was sent for processing. Also, if you renewed via mail, or from a post office, then your new book will ship separate from your previous book, for identity/ security reasons.
No
