You don’t need to buy tickets but you do need a reservation. It’s a beautiful places to hang out for a while. Picnics a not allowed.

This is a beautiful place and it's great for family with kids. The mansion spans 46,000 sqft on a 6.5 ha land. You can easily get lost if you do not follow signs there. It has many sections with different gardens. The most famous is the cypress walk and the grand stairs where many movies were made. It's free for public access and free for non-professional photos. Park rangers are ACTIVELY patron the entire estate to make sure everything is in order all the times. Plenty of parking space and they do have multiple public restrooms in the facility. Not sure about handicap friendly or not since there are many stairs.

This mansion is gorgeous and it was the most expensive mansion in California when it was built in the 1920s. It's currently owned by the Beverly Hills city government and is open for public visit on Wed to Fri and select weekend dates. Reservation is required in advance but admission is free. This is the filming location for some famous movies such as Spider Man and Gilmore Girls. I believe this place is open for wedding/event rentals as well, and I'd say this is one of the more affordable event venue in LA.

::Review of the grounds:: This property is soaked with history and views that can easily fill a couple hours of outdoor fun. There are few signs detailing the property’s storied history so make sure you read-up a bit beforehand; though, even without any knowledge one should be able to enjoy this place. Also, wear comfortable shoes (it’s on a hill).

Definitely! Check out some of the pictures taken by us Guides in maps.
It's open but you will need a reservation for entry, free of charge.
If you're taking pictures for an event you need tio get a permit....if it's just for recreational...then no...please contact Beverly Hills they have city codes regarding this
They do not charge, The Garden is free To the public from 10 am to 6 pm .. inside the mansion there is no access.
Only grounds. If want to see inside you can attend event or purchase tickets to tours held at beginning of month. Plan ahead as tickets sell very quickly
FEB 16,1929 4 MONTHS after Ned Doheny died in guest bedroom in a murder suicide with his secretary,Hugh Plunkett.
They do have a ranger on site to enforce the rules. You're supposed to get a permit for professional pictures, but cell phones should be fine.
No. It is a quiet place. Also taking pictures is not allowed. They have strong rules
The Mansion is closed for private functions. To visit the garden grounds and parking is free. It's gorgeous.
Yes, at the top of the hill. There are signs for the parking as well. Parking for the disabled is at the mansion level (bottom of the hill). Restrooms are nearby too. Enjoy your visit.
That's not a good question to be asking anyone. But the house does not have a social. That's is an address if you click on the house in Google
The garden is always free and you don't need reservations. I've only been inside once and tgat was for a music recital and it cost money. I'm not sure about if tours are available.
The museum has hours posted on the website. The house remains closed until post-pandemic. Go the grounds are worth the trip and the view is great.
Yes you need reservation. When my wife and I visited we didn't know this. We went to the gate talk to security and they did let us go in. We got lucky because it was a slow day and we were coming from San Diego, she gave us a break. There was no charge for taking pictures and we saw people with professional cameras. There was no one prohibiting us from taking pictures
We didn't have a reservation and they let us in to see the garden. The lady at the gate was super nice and when we told her we were visiting from NY she opened the gate for us.
Dont know the tour part but its a government owned property and the tours are probably done by them too
no, it's temporarily closed to the public
Special events are allowed but I believe you have to be part of the donors circle. You need to be regularly donating money to keep this place open. Check out the website
Keith is lie. This is NOT from Masters of the Universe!!
they let u take pictures with your phone but not professional cameras
yes it's a historic landmark
I believe it's 6pm.
They do not allow dogs on the premises we took our dog and and we have to come back if you keep him in a bag I don't know but I don't know if it's worth it to go up there to try
Correct you can get dropped off at free parking lot
You will call Beverly Hills community on greystone mansion go their website
As stated above you are advised against taking photos by signs. However we saw many people taking photos so... It is a really nice place. Go there.
Not sure about that. It's considered a public park, so if they are closed reasonable to assume you can't jump a fence or enter. Check their website for details
They do not give tours to the public unless you call and make arrangements for a large group tour.
According to the website, you do need a permit to shoot with a DSLR camera.
There may be opportunity to rent space for special occasions but don't think you can rent overnight. The property is owned by the City of Beverly Hills and is open daily as a public park. No pets allowed.
You can go indide once a month for a fee..1st Saturday..unless the Fruends of Greystone yave a membership only event. Sometimes a wedding venue or film schedule will prevent inside tour. I went ladt Saturday of February, but plan to join as member and depending on level will be invited to a few events inside and out. The outside visit was more than worth my trip from New York state. I was born in Southgate, CA in 1947 and just recently came home. The grounds are awesome and of course the architecture and historical significance of Greystone were on my bucket list. I plan on returning, becoming a member and purchasing numerous books about Greystone.
Very tranquil..
This is just a regular house, a former residence of Doheny family, not a park, there is nowhere to bike.
Agree with google
You can visit inside of mansion 2 ways. Attend an event held there or the guided tour twice a month. Tours usually the first weekend of each month. $15 per person. Group rates for schools are available. Visit their website for details.
Yes. I seem it on the ID channel laatnite but there was about 4 unexplained deaths there too
It is a mansion. Used to be owned (the grounds were larger) by Edgar Doheny, an oil magnate, who was brought down by the Teapot Dome scandal involving Pearl Harbor. It was owned by the Crowns out of Chicago, but then donated to the City of Beverly Hills.
There's a park ranger onsite. You'd have to ask him. But, I believe there's room for it.
