Yes it is! I had the privilege of working on a film production at this location. Prior to filming that day everyone was excited one because we would get to see areas that are not even on the tour and two because it's super haunted. The park ranger himself told us stories of his own encounters, along with others experiences. The directors left a recording device there and caught very scary sounds. Anyone that was interested was able to hear what they caught on tape but I'm way too much of a whimp to hear it.
There are rumors, however I had a long conversation with the security guy about the history of the place, touring, etc., sounded like at the basement , a large hall on -1 of the main hall something happened, but it was a long long time ago.
Not known as haunted. There was a murder there of the owner
Yes, I could see only a couple of workers around. Felt lonely while walking around.
