You can go indide once a month for a fee..1st Saturday..unless the Fruends of Greystone yave a membership only event. Sometimes a wedding venue or film schedule will prevent inside tour. I went ladt Saturday of February,but plan to join as member and depending on level will be invited to a few events inside and out. The outside visit was more than worth my trip from New York state. I was born in Southgate, CA in 1947 and just recently came home. The grounds are awesome and of course the architecture and historical significance of Greystone were on my bucket list. I plan on returning, becoming a member and purchasing numerous books about Greystone.
The park is totally free. I'm not sure about to wonder around the mansion free, but they offer a group or individual tour to the mansion pritty neat. Totally recommend!
