Very nice architecture, but nowhere to get food in the station aside from a snack stand. For a city like San Diego, I think the station needs more eateries inside. Thankfully, the station in nestled downtown, so you’ll have no trouble finding a restaurant. There is also a very easy connection to the trolley which is great!

Absolutely love ❤️ San Diego. Not easy on the wallet but if you plan ahead you can easily find some ways to make your visit enjoyable. For example pack up a picnic lunch and spend time at the beach. Just relax and enjoy life. rg-

The San Diego Santa Fe Depot is a historic building constructed in the Spanish Revival architectural style in 1919. It features a high vaulted ceiling and the inside would be nice for photos. I've passed through this station for the MTA, the commuter rail, and Amtrak on several occasions without issue.

Everything at this station was fine, as far as Amtrak stations go. They offer bag holding services for $10 per bag (with a valid same-day Amtrak ticket) which was nice, just be sure to arrive a bit early to pick up your bag before the train, as the lines here can move slow. Departures section was okay, but arrive 20 mins before your train departs to line up (unless you’re riding solo or don’t care where you end up sitting).

Around santa fe i think there is one or more hotel. Because is near withtourism place like in seaport village..
No lockers since 9/11 security issues. Amtrak passengers can pay for them to stow a bag for the day.
There is parking nearby, but it is not free. I don't believe there is free parking nearby, there is free street parking in the surrounding area after 6 pm.
This a train and trolley station in San Diego called Santa Fe Depot.
I think there's Hertz and Avis near the airport and the airport is a little ways north of the train station
I don't know. Look online...search amtrak
Rick Ivkovich is right. Amtrak requires a valid state photo ID
No this station is in down town San Diego. Chula Vista is 10 min drive away
Amtrak to Los Angeles, bus to Vegas.
There should be. Also Uber and Lyft are options.
I thank you very much for allowing me to be in Sandiego California
Yes lseen a lounge but I seen alot of homeless sleep in thier
Go in-person to talk someone...or go one of the websites to get answer...
Oh,the Amtrak ride to Los Angeles,is the way to go.It quiet comfortable and you can buy food in the train if you need it.And it only cost $36.00 dollars one-way.
The bus station going to Los Angeles from San Diego,CA.the location is across the street MTS San Diego, transfer station at 12th and Imperial, where you'll be able to see a big clock on the highest floor of the building. If not sure look for help from the station attendant.
Yes👍 absolutely.
Yes; they're sleeping along the sidewalk during the night and early morning. During the day, they'll be wondering around.
Yes it is, from there you have to take two trolley to get to the border
I have no idea only thing I know business class waiting room in Los Angeles train station Union Station first class that's what they call it it's the only one I know
Whenever there's a track closer. Amtrak Has buses that will shuttle you to the closest location which is Oceanside
The nearest MTS bus is a cross the street from the Santa Fe Depot in front of Starbucks at the corner of Kettner and W. Broadway. It is a direct trip that will take about 15 minutes and cost 2.50$. It is bus 992 to San Diego International Airport/Lindbergh Field.
5 star tours inside Depot has luggage storage but you have to pick up by 5pm. It's 7.00.
It will cost you 6.50$ one way. Senior discounts are offered at 65+. The first Coaster departs Santa Fe Depot at 9:35 and arrives in Oceanside at 10:39 a.m.
Fargo North Dakota to last minute is over $600.00 if you ask a month before is less.
Yes
Starting September 2019, there will only be one day passes they will cost $6 a piece. There's the $72 adult bus pass. There has been the $43 half month pass but that will be eliminated starting in September. So will the $10 two-day passes and the four-day passes. I'm pretty bummed out about that
Google greyhound and they'll show it.
There is no good answer for that. The depot itself has no parking. The surrounding area has office building lots that or may not fit. There used to be a few parking lots but those have been built on.
Green Line for $2.50 will take you there directly. They run every 15 mins and it takes 32 mins to get to SDSU Transit Center. Then you walk or take shuttle buses.
Not too clear on hours. There's people inside 24/7 but there may be actual waiting room or ticket office hours. Advising that you book tickets online at Amtrak website.
By SAN I assume you mean downtown San Diego. Just hop on either the Orange or Blue line trolleys and they'll take you right downtown. For the GasLamp, your best bet'd be to get off at 5th & C and walk South on 5th for about 2 short blocks and you're soaking in it. HTH!
I don't think so.
Yes. The green line trolly stops at Santa Fe station and the Blue Line Trolly stops across the street.
The airport's pretty close to Santa Fe Depot, actually, and your hands are pretty full with 3 kids & all their accoutrements so I'd recommend an Über as the busses & trolleys don't really allow you a whole lotta time at ALL for loading & emarking or disembarking and they can get pretty crowded, not to mention the less than savory clientele aboard. HTH
Yes, but you would have to switch trains in LA. The Pacific Surfliner makes several daily trips north to LA, then the Coast Starlight can take you to Seattle. It's also quite a long trip at about 1 day 12 hrs.
The 215 bus picks up right in front of Santa fe. It stops at the zoo. I think you have to buy a separate ticket for the bus, but I'm not sure.
Yup - Amtrak© by phone or their website
What's the last departure go to union station?
Chuck e cheese
del mar, solana bch, san juan. not sure what else. los angeles final stop i think.
There may be a water fountain but that's all I think.
Sante Fe is the historic train station. Amtrak hub. And trolley. Open all night but trains start at 4:30 am . public restrooms but also close at 9 pm . there is a food station (over priced) 7/11 around the corner
There is paid parking next to the train station off of Broadway and Pacific Highway.
As far as I know I don't think so. I guess you could call the station and ask but I don't see how you could so my answer is no.
If you have any questions about train departure times, you can call the Sante Fe Station downtown. You can also use your "ask Google" if your phone has that capability. It's functionalities are simply beyond anything I've ever imagined. A transit operator-at 511- should also direct you in the right direction. Don't chance boarding a train without the right station to station boarding pass ; chances are
There is a large pay parking lot right near the station, on the corner of Broadway and pacific Hwy. I think it's $15 for 12 hours (only $10 if you pay before 5am). Prices are higher when special events are happening in the area.
I believe the waiting area inside the station is closed between 1&2 AM but there are benches out in front of the station where you can chill for an hour. There is a 7/11 store next to americas plaza where you could go have a cup of coffee about 1 1/2 blocks away.
check Amtrak intinerary on line
Yes it is about 3 blocks to the ships on B Street Pier and Harbor Dr.
No, only train.
There's a door at the south end of the station. Go inside and wait for them to call your train number. You'll see people in-the-know lining up outside.
No. The closest physical car rental places are in little Italy, about a mile away.
