Friendly staff, great time renting a boat with them. We had a little bit of engine trouble. When we notified them, they gave us a discount without us asking for compensation. Definitely good people. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful clear water. When they tell you the water is 55 degrees, they are not exaggerating, but if you love water the temp doesn't matter. :) There's a ranger station near the boat ramp and a small dock where you can collect the rest of your party after putting the boat in the water. There's plenty of room to wipe down and make sure your boat is free of any extra water at the end of your visit. They are VERY serious about life jackets. If you plan to go out on the water, whether by boat, kayak or paddle board, make sure you have your life jacket cause you won't get very far before the rangers remind you. Pets are welcome, but must be and stay on a leash. There's picnic tables and grills. There's also plenty of trashcans. Please use them! There's a small beach where the kayak trips take off from. There's a gift shop, restaurant and bathroom. I have yet to visit them, but by how clean things are I don't doubt their quality. If you plan to play closer to the shore I would suggest some sort of water shoe. The stones are large and easy to see, but man do they hurt when you stub your toes. Most of all, just enjoy this beach with your family.

This place is a hidden gem. I fell in love with this place as soon as I saw it.. Now they do offer boat rentals such as kayaks party boats and other type of boats. All the ladies inside the building where you can where you can do your rental will vary polite and Very professional.. The water was very calm that day and I enjoy it my kayaking for the very 1st time period. Now I do recommend that you do make reservations if you like to have any type of rental service. They do get very busy on the weekends here week out there about 8:30 which was a very good time the lake was very calm and there was not a lot of people there so we had the lake to ourselves. This is a place that you would not want to miss or put on your bucket list to visit.

Very picturesque drive down to the water. It's a little oasis for pucnicing, boating fishing and birding. Ducks and herons. Great sunrises on the canyon walls. Beach toilets clean and the grounds are well taken care of. The road has been repaired by NPS and is smooth again.

One side was open last weekend and they were cleaning up the other side on tuesday. Give them a call they open at 8am
There's not really much for hiking trails right at Willow beach, because upstream is restricted to the fish hatchery and down stream have some very steep mountains and cliffs. But, there are a couple of well maintained trails to the north of Willow, off of hwy 93. One of them is gold strike canyon, at the end is a hot springs pool. If you make any of the hikes down to the river, make sure to bring plenty of drinking water, even in the winter. Every year we lose hikers due to dehydration.
No, they don't. As a matter of fact, jet skis or other PWC's are not permitted upstream of Willow beach. They do however rent canoes, kayaks and small fishing boats.
Yes jet skis are allowed, and i think beer is allowed, maybe just hide it if you do bring it.
No but there's a entrance fee to get to willow beach marina. I think it's $20. Hope this helps & you have a fun safe kayaking adventure 😊
If you go off to the right of the Marina it's about a 4 minute boat ride, stay along the shore and you'll come up to a Cove which is sandy and shallow. No it's not too cold I was in it about 2 weeks ago and it was tolerable
It used to be free, but recently started charging $25 I think. We have the yearly pass $80 for any national park everywhere in USA (Definitely worth it )
