I have been a patient of Dr. Ben-Meir for over a year and love everything about the practice, specifically Karina H., the supervisor of Hoboken and Jersey City. She is the most efficient person I've worked with at a DRs office in getting everything done. She is efficient, communicative, professional, and never lets anything slip through the cracks. She was away for over a week and during that time someone else was supposed to be handling scheduling and insurance and this person never scheduled me for a procedure, messed up the insurance application so it was denied, and no one contacted me unless I called them (multiple times). This makes me strongly believe these locations can't function properly without Karina. When Karina is handling something I have no concerned it will be done in a timely manner and without any issues. Karina is the best!

My husband had a total knee replacement in July and has been seeing Karen, his PT, for his physical therapy. Karen is pretty awesome, very on point and very very knowledgeable. Takes her time to explain the exercise and ensures it’s done properly with keeping a watchful eye. Looking for a great PT, she is the one.

Heather and Vianca at the front desk are awesome. Always a warm welcome walking in to the office. When I call they always go above and beyond helping to make sure I get everything I need.

If the patient's pain is determined to be uncontrolled by any other means and in need of opioids in order for it to be controlled, then the risk vs. benefit ratio is evaluated in each individual case by a pain management specialist. Often pain can be controlled by other medications or steroid injections. Sometimes the root cause of the pain can only be resolved by a surgical corrections. CNSO specializes in making these determinations.
Dr. Skovrlj is a neurosurgeon with fellowship training in orthopedic spine. When he left CNSO, he was board eligible for neurosurgery. Whether he is now board certified in neurosurgery, we are not aware. He did not complete an orthopedics residency training program which is required for orthopedics board certification. As Dr. Skovrlj is no longer practicing with CNSO, please contact Dr. Skovrlj directly for further information. Dr. Oh who is with CNSO is board certified in orthopedics AND is fellowship trained in spine surgery.
Modern technology has enabled CNSO to consult patients through HIAA compliant video-conference tools. In the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, video telephone consultations are routinely scheduled at CNSO.
We will accept Aetna Medicare rates for Physical Therapy. Unfortunately, at the current time, we can not accept Aetna Medicare for surgery or pain management. We encourage you to speak with Aetna Medicare and prompt them to offer our surgeons and pain management doctors reasonable in network rates so we can provide their members the best neurosurgical care for both brain and spine surgery.
We do not accept UHC Community Plan but do offer reasonable self-pay rates as well as payment plan options.
