The people that work at this center are exceptional caring beautiful people I cant praise them enough. They are genuine animal lovers. It's not about the money for them. It's about help the sick animal. Take you're animal to a vet E.R. and they will stand there and watch your pet die if you cant pay their outrageous bill. Sad that they are not about helping your pet they are all about the money! You vets know who you are and you should be ashamed of yourselves. Humane Society care and would never turn away a sick or wounded pet. Thank you to all the staff at SCHS you are amazing! Lots of love to you!😁😘

I brought my dog in for emergency treatment and they made the whole process much less painful for both of us. She’s already back on duty supervising yard clean up. I am very grateful for the kind, caring and compassionate service provided! This little one was a rescue too.

Had my daughter's new kitty (brought home from visiting Dad this summer🙄) neutered and vaccinated here 1 1/2 weeks ago. It was an easy drop off and pick up and the procedures went as planned. The staff is professional and calm and everyone was masked appropriately. They also give detailed pick up and aftercare instructions. You can also text anytime during the day to check on your pet. Very impressed. And Bean (new kitty) recovered almost immediately. A+++ guys thank you.

This is an excellent shelter. They are a no-kill shelter from what I understand. I’ve adopted three wonderful pets so far from them. Colt, Aria, and Snow (all pictured). They are extremely caring of the animals and they are sure to help them find a suitable home. I will continue to support this shelter for as long as they maintain this stellar performance.
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
It's NO kill shelter!only if the animal is suffering or really sick and nothing can be done for it then they"put it down "
They are closing vet in about a week so you should call today!
FRNC Feline Rescue Northern California
It all depends on where you go and which SPCA shelter that you may choose I believe it's between 25 and $45 not sure some spca's are free adoption but not all of them
Are you in need of Fostering during "Sheltering in Place"?
Yes you can at the humane society. As that it is not just a Vet's office.
Yes and no. You can not bring your current pets into the humane society to help you 'pick out' a dog 'for him'....but if YOU find a dog you're wanting to adopt, then you bring your dog to a neutral outside area for a meet and greet. This is specifically to make sure they'll get along in the house and with the family

Hi Melany, thanks for your question! The fee to spay a female cat at our clinic is $85. Here's the link to our Spay/Neuter Clinic page for more info: https://humanesocietysoco.org/low-cost-spay-neuter/
Yes there is a low cost community vet clinic for those who qualify. 707--284-1198
Our family dog became quite ill with his heart & his quality of life was deteriorating. Dr Ada went over & above to keep him comfortable until it was no longer an option. They were extremely compassionate & understanding. I'd recommend them to anyone who considers their pet " a member of the family".
Hi Jolene, thank you for your question! We do not have dangerous dogs available for adoption. Every dog in our program has been evaluated by our amazing canine behavior team before they become available for adoption. Our adoption counselors are happy to go over all adoption recommendations and behavior notes for each dog with you to try and find you your perfect match!
They have a Community Veterinary Clinic for low-cost veterinary care for all who income qualify. Call them up!!
Thank you for your message Dave, and for your concern for these dogs. Unfortunately we are not responsible for animal control in Santa Rosa. Please contact Sonoma County Animal Services at (707) 565-7100.
Call during business hours.you will know in a heart beat
Yes call the community vet clinic for details.
The Community Vet Clinic does for low-income families of Sonoma county. Call M-F for more information
They take rabbits I don't see why guinea pigs woyld be any different
if they can help and with food too, you can call and ask if you can arrive or need to make an appointment
You have to be 18 or have a parent with you, and you have to go through a breif training orientation. However they do have youth programs at the Forget me Not Farm behind the shelter
Forgotten felines works with feral cats, if they are still kittens they may be able to socialize them and help them find a good home. Otherwise there is a possiblity they can become barn cats or placed in a colony with other feral cats.
Did you report it to the police?
Every Monday.call ahead.sliding scale
Call and ask.they have a clinic on Mondays which is on a sliding scale. These are great people and they take care of seniors.
You can send it in again it's certainly okay, have a wonderful day
We no longer have a public hospital however we recently opened our Community Veterinary Clinic (open mondays). You can read about income qualification and more about it on our website https://humanesocietysoco.org/cvc/
Our Community Veterinary Clinic does accept appointments as well as walk ins. Please be prepared to show proof of qualification. Visit humanesocietysoco.org/cvc for more information or call 284-1198.
try Homeless With Pets. org (i think) I'm guessing that if they don't know the answer they will know where to direct you. I'm so sorry for your loss
The news paper
I'm almost positive they can but they might have to have an adult with them
First get a referral & work permit from your counselor at school.Go get familiar with the place.Visit it,get to know it.Be friendly but not over friendly with staff. Ask questions that your curious about.I would call Beth at the Seb Humane Society they have a summer youth program. It never hurts to try you can gain something and not lose anything.Good luck! !!!😊
They do perform creamations. You can call any time before 6pm when they close. Sorry for your loss. ❤
I can't answer that question but I'm sure someone at the shelter can. I suggest you give them a call or better yet go for a visit check the place out and if it looks inviting ask to speak to someone in charge.
Need to call clinic for a quote.
Probably not. When you say it like that it sounds cruel but I'm sure you have your reasons. Why dont you want anyone taking them to the bathroom? You might have have to clean up after them, you dont really need to lock the door either they dont know how to open it. Unless you wanted someone to stay out. But either way I'm sure it's fine just put ple type of water and some food and those pee mats and make sure they wo t overheat or get ti cold.
My dogs were also patients I found Sebastopol animal they are great very reasonable
They have a low cost spay neuter clinic. You need to qualify. https://humanesocietysoco.org/low-cost-spay-neuter/ I don't think they do general vet stuff like shots & chipping for the public
Not that I'm aware of. But best to give them a call.
yes & I don't believe so but I'm not positive, sorry.
Thanks for your interest in adopting a kitten! Please keep an eye on the adoptable animals page on our website: https://humanesocietysoco.org/available-animals/ It is continually updated with animals as they become available for adoption! Our kitten adoption fee is $160. You can read more about what's included in our adoption fees here: https://humanesocietysoco.org/adopt/
Sadly feral cats have very short life spans. Special if the tom is not fixed between fighting and traffic they don't live very long. Check places like under you house or out building if he felt safe there he would hide if he had been badly hurt to die. Or he might have lost his territory to another tom cat so moved on some place else. Sorry I don't have better news then that.
I recomend a veterinarian. For sure.Im not a doctor but their are animal doctors.
Sorry I haven't.. I really you find them. I'll keep a look out!😊
Also San Francisco jas Muttsville all senior dogs
I am not sure uet if dog has history of beinh pregnent I think they may spayed them
When will they have puppies?
The Humane Society of Sonoma County (formerly known as the Sonoma Humane Society) is a no kill shelter. Yes, you can surrender her cat and they will do all possible to find a perfect new home for her. You will pay a surrender fee, and will give as much information about her previous home environment as possible- including medical history, special needs, other animals and/or children in the home. They will try to find the perfect scenario which will be as close as possible to her previous situation.
Reach out over the phone, by email or visit their location to get more details on how to volunteer.
Animal shelter, they have dogs and cats of all ages, theyve had bunnies and a rooster, the animals they have depends on the ones that need to come through and get adopted
If you live inside city limits then you get a city licence. If you live outside city limits then it would be a county licence through animal control
I would suggest just physically going in there, as I'm sure they have many cats and animals that have been displaced
Homes will be found when possible. No cost, you give up the animal freely
