One of the great city parks. Vast in size and so many things to see and do—there’s a boating lake, art and science museums, windmills, cycle paths, a 9-hole golf course, botanical gardens and a conservatory, and now a Ferris wheel. Or you can do none of those things and just hang out on the many meadows

Golden Gate Park is a beautiful and complete urban park in the city of San Francisco, CA, located in an area close to the world famous gate of the same name, just separated by the Richmond neighborhood to the north. This Park is surrounded by the city and has an incredible green area that surrounds various equipment such as tennis courts, museums, polo field, football fields, trails, inner lake, picnic areas, etc. and is one of the most sought after places. for relaxation and the practice of sports by the local population. The Park has a total area of 4.12 km² with avenues crossing its areas, all surrounded by an enormous amount and variety of beautiful trees. As a curiosity, in the area next to the beach there is a place where a herd of American buffaloes live, since 1894! All in all, a great option for a city tour, and I recommend it. Incredible park with so much to offer! You can spends hours in the park and come out feeling like you've only scratched the surface, which is great because you definitely have to go here a dozen different times to truly comprehend the size and all the great things you can see and do here. Did I mention most of it is free!?

This is an incredibly huge park containing multiple lakes, meadows, gardens, sport fields, museums, and many other facilities, with very fresh air and beautiful views. It is a perfect place for hiking, jogging, cycling, walking dog, picnic, soccer, and many other family recreational activities. In summary, I highly recommend this beautiful place!

A lot of fun, You can have barbcu and so A lot of things
Try check with the local travel agent.
There are still bison in the park - the original bison may have passed away at some point, but there are definitely a handful of them living in the bison paddock as of January 2018.
I was there 2 weeks ago and it was great..get there closer early💝💚🌼💜🤗
AOS is also a charge
There was a dog park back by 40th Ave and Fulton, inside the park. But it is currently being renovated. But there are plenty of fields to play fetch in, or whatever activity you might have planned with your dog. Plenty of space. Have fun
It is very cool
Some places Yes. Some places No.
Parking in the Park is available....but weekends are vastly different. Get there early to find parking.
Hippie hill is the epicenter... all the time regardless of state laws. Now that it's legal the 420 festival is a ridiculous tourist trap of hella high people. Parking for it is gone by sunrise and the cops on duty love working it.
John F Kennedy Dr. Between Transverse Dr. & chains of Lakes Dr. E. with all the foot traffic & runners, joggers, walkers you stand a better chance of not having your vehicle broken into. Just watch out for the signage Anything on Lincoln Way & Fulton St. Is taking a risk of having your vehicle broken into. There are a of underground parking lots. I have never used them & I have a thing about parking where I can't see my vehicle. Just a personal preference.
Speckles lake and 36th street.Near Fulton. Check Yelp for more details Anyone can join
Great place to visit, so much to see, and the museum is great. I recommend golden gate park.
Free, free, free! Except for Japanese Tea Garden, Academy of Sciences, DeYoung Museum, Botanical Garden, Conservatory of Flowers, and Merry Go Round.
It's open 24/7
Yes!!!
One must bring a shovel, if they desire solitude as such.
Yes, it's the Outside Lands music festival. The lineup is available here: https://www.sfoutsidelands.com/
Unfortunately, there are no fish in the ponds, but you can practice your casting technique at the Angling and Casting Club located on the western end.
Stow Lake
Yes, it is free to enter the park. However, some gardens and museums have entrance fees. It is a huge park with many walking trails.
Yes but I think you have to get a permit and their special rates I'm sure by the museums and the Rose Garden but yes you can get married in a park you just have to get the permission call park and rec Department
Yes, It has a beach and picnic area.
Yes
Is free. But inside there are paid parks or museums, such as the science museum or the Japanese or botanical gardens. You also have the modern art museum and the flower conservatory. Even so, it is extensive and you can see other things such as the buffalos there donated and cared for in Captivity.
It's possible but no designated only. Go early!
They're in the north west part of the park, search for "Bison paddock." Best view is usually from the road south of their enclosure. They can be difficult to see sometimes, I've been told it's easiest if you're around when they're being fed.
Which area of the Park?
Yes, street parking plus small parking lots at different places throughout Golden Gate Park
Yes, check cloudofgoods.com
It was opened up, last Sunday.
You going to work in one of most beautifull park in a city im visit till now!
Thats a cartooon I didn't see anything about that in the park
Its been a long time
Yes it is pet friendly.
It depends on how old the kids are and where you choose to go. GGP is huge and it might be difficult for smaller kids to navigate.
I haven't seen anyone doing that in a long time.
Im not sure , sorry
No. Main street is closed on Sundays which make it nice for jogging or riding bikes.
To be honest, I don't know.
There is no entry fee to Golden gate park, parking is also free in the park..
Learn to write dude...
No overnight parking. Besides, not a good idea to be in such a huge park in the middle of the night.
You can go into the park without paying. But Caliornia Academy of Sciences has entry ticket. Adult is 44$, Student 39$
Check the weather if u plan to go early for morning fog on bridge
Tho not legal, if u look around theirs a few stealth spots, im always on the lookout for spots myself
I don't think so, at least I don't remember seeing them around.
yes, pay at the museum entrance in the Park.
Fort Funston is a local and tourist favorite dog park with beautiful views and lots of space for your pooches to run around. Fort Funston is free, fun and part of Golden Gate Park
Yes, at the Park Chalet and Beach Chalet, on Western side of Golden Gate Park.
No I don't bieve so
On the west side of the the City in between the Sunset and Richmond Districts.
Sorry I do not know, and would suggest reaching out to the park authorities.
Not to Golden Gate Park as a whole. Certain attractions within the park do have entrance fees.
Yes, their are alot of romantic places, but seriously take her her on a real date and spend some money and u might actually get some!!!!
The park is open but the museum's are closed . All the other attractions may be affected by government shutdown. The tea garden and the arboretum are open and free admission
It's supposed to be, it's always open 🤔
No, not the park. The Academy of Science is kind of pricey, but the Japanese tea garden is reasonable and so is the Arboretum. The Arboretum is really cool. And very reasonable cost wise.
No, Golden gate Park is pretty far from the bridge. However, rom the top of Strawberry Hill in the middle of Stow Lake, you can see the towers of the bridge and a nice view of the Marin headlands.
The 44 bus (MUNI) stops right in front of the De young museum and it’s a nice 5 min walk from there.
Yeah its huge. Find a good spot. But remember its public so theres people potentially and its foggy from time to time so the weather is a bit unpredictable
Yes, there are a few pavilions across the park. It's a large, diverse area, and some of them may be in use.
It is not walkable from the park. Take Park Precidio. That will take you to the Golden Gate Bridge. If you don't want to go over the bridge to Marin County, take the last right hand turn that will take you to the Marina area and Fort Point which is located underneath the Bridge.
Yes
The museums also cost money, as does parking, but the park itself is free
There is one behind the theater
Golden gate park is free to enter but there is a cost associated with the museums, botanical garden, and such
Sí, incluso hay un lugar de alquiler de patines. Tienen bicicletas y patines. Por hora o día completo.
In some parts you could see the bridge like from strawberry hill but sometimes its too foggy
Yes
I was on a daily morning day and there were few people. At the weekend I couldn't tell you.
Just look at the street postings. I would not park in the park but maybe on Fulton or one of the side streets where resident park all the time you'll probably be ok.
There are definitely trails that would be awesome to ride but I don't think they are designated for bmx
Golden gate is 1017 acres. And central park is 843 acres. I've walked across central park, but never even thought of walking lengthwise across golden gate park. I guess the bay to breakers race does in fact do that and more.
Sorry, I don't have a 🐕
Until dusk but I am sure people linger beyond hours.
Ask the information centre at the municipality
Music festivals, food festivals, and distance running events.
There is free street parking inside the park, and a pay garage under the California Academy of Science.
