Beautiful spacious apartment! Nice amenities as well. The leasing manager and her assistant were very helpful and responsive. They went the extra mile to help. My move in was SO SMOOTH ! I don’t know how I would’ve done it without them.

I have lived in Ashbury Court for years and it's been a great neighborhood to raise children. I have seen and been with different managers but to be honest the newest manager Ms Britney is absolutely the best. She stepped into the apartment just few months ago and i have seen her positive impacts to make the community peaceful and great place to reside. She's so respectful and kindhearted, will shoulder the concerns of residents, as if it's hers, so hardworking and loving to relate with, she cares, and now we are at peace because the entire apartment is peaceful. Thank you Ms Britney, you came at the right time!

When I moved here I was nervous about all the car issues reviewers were mentioning and was assured it was an isolated incident the villains were caught. Turns out it wasn't just this community but businesses as well who were apart of a larger scheme. Since becoming a resident I have had no issues with crime or my apartment. For months I was confused as to how my apartment could still have that new apartment smell. The community is small and general interactions are met with a smile. If you are looking for a home look no further than Ashbury Courts.

I've lived at Ashbury Courts for two years now and have enjoyed my experience. Rent is around market rate and some of the amenities (Gym, Valet Trash, Package Receiving, Resident Events) make it a potentially great community, however, the recent uptick in criminal activity and vandalism have not only myself but the entire community on edge and wondering what management will do to resolve these issues and help protect their leaseholders. Over the past several months, many cars have been vandalized/Broken into. Just on Sunday Night (Aug 5th, 2018), three resident's cars had their rims and tires stolen, two had broken windows. Approximately three days before this happened we received notices on our doors letting us know of the need to be watchful and that the on-site security is working with Howard County Police to address the safety issues. The on-site security leaves much to be desired, I am not personally aware of what he does exactly other than live on the premises. Our access to the building is controlled and while that may offer the appearance of safety, I've run into people yanking the side doors to stairwells open and even leaving them slightly ajar, allowing anyone access. This was typically concerning when the Bottom of the Bay was open and many drunk patrons would be inside the building. Another safety concern is the lights in the parking lot, unfortunately between 10:00am and 10:00pm residents are not allowed to park in the front of the parking lot as it is reserved for retail patrons, we are subject to towing if we do park there and it really isn't fair as we all pay rent, you do have the option to pay extra for a reserved space but the three cars that were vandalized were in these spaces so it really doesn't offer you much. This is also concerning because the lighting throughout the complex isn't as bright as it could be. Coming home late at night, it's concerning to walk through the dimly lit areas. Overall, Ashbury Courts has the potential to be a great community, however, the many safety issues not adequately addressed should give pause to any prospective renter and current leaseholder. We deserved to live in a community where we feel safe and until management does more to ensure that, I would not recommend this property.
