I used to think the old management 'Horizon Square' was the worst management possible for this apartment....but ever since the new management under Shanika Harley 'Elms at Laurel Park' has taken over it's made me realize how lucky I was to have 'Horizon Square' as a management company in the first place. Not only is Shanika rude, but she is also disrespectful to the people that pay rent and an overall horrible person. To call her management skills lackluster is an insult to horrible managers everywhere. If this apartment was being run by a manager who actually cared, a lot of the issues would probably have been resolved by now. Please, if you're reading any of these reviews and considering this property, please look elsewhere. Also if you're the property management company, please understand that Shanika Harley will be the reason why you continue losing tenants.

New management is trying to clean up a little which takes time. I love my apartment and the convienece of the location. Literally at the heart of everything. Everything I need is within walking distance. The apartments are very large in size with tons of closet space. I'm sure more is coming for the community and I am excited to see what new management has in store for the property!!

If it was possible to give o star that’s the rating this property deserves. Old management with the name horizon square was very bad, new management is just unbearable. Nothing is being done to make residents comfortable, you are basically paying rent to just have a roof over your head. Shanika Harley the property manager is very rude, no communication skills and a first degree liar. If the owner doesn’t fire her , at the end of the year all apartments will be empty. It’s been over 4 months I have been going to her for repairs in my bathroom she sent someone to look at it and that was it. Every time I go to her she acts like it’s the first time she hears about the issue. Any this community is infested with mice no amount of pest control will solve the the issue every one needs to move out. Hallways are smelling , the ceiling leaking, nothing goes right in this place. Before I moved in in 2019 someone advices me not to move in . I didn’t listen worst decision ever made. Had neighbors move in and move out after 3 months they couldn’t take it with mice and roaches. Please if you are thinking about moving in please take review’s seriously or else you will regret it.

Worst place to live. roaches, mice, dirty carpets they never clean that they say they will clean in hallways, homeless people sleeping in stairways. Dishwasher don’t work and stinks and fills up dirty water even when it’s so called fixed. They talking about going up on rent and their is no changes being done. So done. There’s no lights outside when you go out at night to your car. People keep leaving the door open so people come in and out who don’t live here. It smells and is dirty. Leaking from ceiling. Pool still not open and hasn’t been since I moved here. I could go on. Stay away please. Doing you a favor.
