All tours are self-paced, which means that you don't stay with a tour guide on the tour, you can follow the path with your family or friends at your own pace. The pathway is easy to follow and there are interpretive printed signs throughout the cave to help you learn about it. Also there are cave educators stationed throughout the cave to answer questions and tell you more. You can not explore off of the trail for the protection of the cave. On average people take about 35-45 minutes in the cave, but you are welcome to let others pass and stay longer. Most people spend 2-3 hours in the park as we offer many outdoor nature activities like mining for gems and fossils, geode cracking, hiking trails, rock and perennial gardens and picnic areas.
Yes it is. They get you started with a quick picture which you are able to purchase at the end if you choose and then your off at a pace you set for yourself !
It's a concrete path you follow, you are not allowed to touch the rock due to the oils in our skins will block the growth of the cave.
It's all non guided currently
We didn't have a guide. In my opinion it is a self guided tour.
